Bella's P.O.V
I groan as I walk out of my bathroom wrapped in my towel. As I scan through my closet for something comfortable to wear to work, I whisper to myself, "Why couldn't I just had been born rich?" I grab my favorite pair of jeans and pick a nice, silk white shirt and head back to the bathroom.
The tea Esme gave me worked like a charm. Ever since I've been having that tea, I haven't gotten morning sickness and I love it. It keeps me in a good mood for about a good thirty to sixty seconds before other pregnancy dreads fall into place. However, just as I slid my favorite jeans up my legs, the inevitable happened. Something I far wished could have been put off for the entire pregnancy and that happened sooner than expected.
My. Jeans. Did. Not. Fit. Any. More.
Out of fucking nowhere, I saw what I was so blind to see. I saw my belly. It was small and round and noticeable. How did I not see it?!
"NO!" I cried out. I kicked the stupid jeans off my legs and threw them across the room. "No, why?!" I drop myself on my bed and cry out again.
The door of my bedroom slams open and Edward comes rushing in. Ever since I found out I was pregnant, Daddy Cullen has been stopping by my brother's apartment to make sure I drink my tea, eat a nice healthy balanced breakfast and drives me to work only to pick me up and give me a yet another balanced meal before dropping me off. Little does he know, I eat a bunch of junk food in the office. Haha, sucker! But now, I regret every cookie, doughnut, chocolate bar, soda and milkshakes I have consumed over the last four months.
"Bella, what the hell is wrong?" Edward asked, obviously not freaked out or affected by the fact that I'm laying on my bed in a white shirt and my black underwear. "Are you okay? Are you hurt?"
"I'm fat," I whine. "Edward, my favorite jeans won't fit anymore."
"What happened-whoa, Bella put some pants on!" Emmett throws my spare blanket on me. "What happened?"
"Bella is upset that her favorite jeans don't fit anymore," Edward said.
"Oooh, bad idea to try them on again, sweetie," Emmett chuckled.
I raise myself to my hands. "What do you mean 'try them on again'? They fit me perfectly fine before."
"Bella, when was the last time you put those jeans on?" Edward asked.
As I was about to answer, Emmett chips in, "Look, I'd love to continue this conversation but I do not feel comfortable having in with you-" he points at Edward, "-in the same room as my sister in her underwear."
I roll my eyes. "Emmett, he has seen me in my underwear before and he has seen me without my underwear, how the hell do you think I'm in this situation?" I snapped.
Emmett blinked. "Yeah, she's all yours," he said to Edward and pats his shoulder. "Just don't anger it even more. I'd like for you to meet your child."
"Emmett!"
"I'm leaving, don't eat me!" He ran out of the room.
I groan and look at Edward. He drops to his knees in front of me and says, "Bella, did you really never notice your belly before? Not even when I touched it?"
I shake my head. "No, not really. How long have I had this?" Yeah, I did notice he was constantly rubbing my belly for the last couple of weeks but I thought it was just him being affectionate to the baby, not that I was growing a belly.
Edward chuckles. "Weeks, Bella. Weeks. How have you not noticed, haven't you tried on any other of your jeans?"
"Well no, they were uncomfortable. That's why I have been wearing dresses and skirts-"
