A strong tug inside of my belly told me I was being summoned.
As I looked at the others I realized we would have a group debate as Logan and Patton had practically jumped away from each other, a blush spread across the fatherly trait's face as Logan just looked at the wooden floor, the slightest hint of a smile hovering on his lips.
Roman had unlocked our hands and had moved away slightly, me still practically sitting on his lap, curled up like a kitten, a hand on my back to prevent me from falling off.
"Well, here we go then."
I noticed how the creative trait had not let go of me while we slowly materialized in Thomas' living room, everyone taking their normal places except Roman who had moved to my spot, me still in his lap like a cat, looking at Logan as if saying 'I dare you to say something about this'
I'll inform you that the walking dictionary kept quiet but Thomas squealed and threw his hands around as if he had gotten informed that his favourite ship was can- oh wait.
A look at Patton made clear that he himself was now practically mimicking the movements our host was making, letting his inner 'fanboy', which he had been able to contain thus far, take over.
"It's so cute!" His voice high-pitched and therefore extremely annoying but also strangely adorable.
After a few minutes of them screeching, Logan repeatedly rolling his eyes, Roman behaving as if they weren't even there and me trying to get them away ( I must admit I did hiss a few times) they both had calmed down and Thomas had now, with a bit of help coming from the logical trait, adjusted himself and was ready to tackle another dilemma, probably caused by me, solve it by finding some sort of good side or an explanation and even get a good message out of it at the end of the video.
Yes, of course, most of our 'performances' were in fact scripted but sometimes we would just be thrown at each other, our host giving us a dilemma and it spiraling down slowly pulling you into another world.
But this time something seemed odd. The normally so outgoing man having trouble to explain himself to his own personality.
After about three minutes he just turned to me and bluntly asked 'what happened after I took the medicine?'
And just like that a whole shitstorm of stories from different points of view was thrown into the conversation, them slowly forgetting the problem had something to do with me as they kept talking and talking, me quickly sliding to the background after telling Thomas I had no memory at all, of even going there, of being in that terrible state of being.
"Guys" Thomas had had enough. His eyes wide and a sort of guilt rushing trough the one could not describe.
I had curled up on Romans lap even more and was pulling my hood over my head and trying to hide in the dark fabric.
"I'm sorry for hurting you, Virgil. I- I'll stop taking the pills."
Maybe it's best to click away.
Maybe you should just close of the device you are reading this on, go on with your day or night and pretend that was the solution to all of our problems.
Thomas would stop taking the pills, would eventually get better and stop having attacks or self-destructive urges, I would stop my own thought process which lead to all of this and we would all just live happily ever after like they do in all of those happy go lucky stories.
Please click away.
It's for your own good.
"No."
Logan's voice cut through the silence which had occurred after our host had spoken.
Thomas looked at the logical trait angrily and opened his mouth to probably tell him to stay quiet as I decided I had had enough.
"He's right Thomas. Please take the pills, it makes you feel better and I don't want to be the reason you feel like shit all the time."
Everyone looked at me, Patton had not even batted an eye after I had used a swear word, Logan trying to stop himself from smiling because I had agreed with him and Thomas looking like he was about to cry.
The cause of this feeling was soon revealed as I felt how Roman laid his head down on my shoulder, a wet substance which could only be tears seeping into my hoodie.
"If you both say so... Tell me whenever you guys see another side effect okay?"
"Does this mean you will keep taking the Benzodiazepine Klonopin?"
Thomas kept silent for a moment, his eyes landing on the now also crying Patton who slowly shook his head.
"Yes."
