Holly ended up leaving Bev the next day after the pair woke up. They had made bracelets from colored strings, and tried to catch juice from a water gun in their mouths from various distances. In the back of Holly's mind was the impending need to pay the rent, water, and electricity bills.

She headed home to get some items to sell for money, on top of what she swiped from her mom and hid in her hidden shoe-box. Upon returning home and seeing her room, bare of the eldritch dolls from the previous night, evoked in her both feelings of both uneasiness and relief. At least she didn't have to clean them up.

Currently, Holly found herself trying to barter with a salesman. The box of gently used but thoroughly read books were no longer needed in Holly's life.

She had already sold a few coffee mugs to another second-hand store and made ten bucks. That was an amount Holly needed higher if she wanted to live in an air-conditioned home with running water. Groceries and clothes would be something she bothered about later.

"No, I bought this one for twelve dollars from the town Doctor himself and offering only five for it is just insulting his life's work. Eight is as low as I'll go so-"

"Holly?" A voice sounded as the bell for the door sounded. Holly turned to see Richie walking towards her.

"What's going on? You looked pretty heated through the window. Even more than when you're with Eds." Richie smiled, throwing an arm over a confused Holly. Her brow quirked upwards at his comment about Eddie, yet she answered him nonetheless.

"I bought this book for twelve dollars, it's in perfect condition and he's only offering five." She explained, waving the medical encyclopedia in her hands around. The book wasn't worth twelve dollars. It wasn't even from the Doctor, she just needed to up the price.

"Now, I don't know about that. But I do know about the fact that your son, sells a particular illegal substance on school grounds. Now, we all know Officer Bowers would love to hear about that." Richie taunted, smiling. He knew he had the salesman. He also knew that he had the man's son in trouble.

During a class change in school, the losers had been chatting when the boy made a rather lewd comment about Holly. Eddie had yelled at him yet Richie hadn't gotten revenge for his friend. This was his revenge.

"Uh-hu here. I'll give twenty for that book and another twenty for all the others." The man pointed to her cardboard box resting on the counter. He then proceeded to open the cash register, retrieving the money he owed.

Holly turned to Richie, eyes wide and a toothy grin. She held her hand up, Richie bringing his to highfive her. The noise made the man look up at the teens who simply smiled back.

"Here." The man counted as he handed Holly the money.

"Thank you, pleasure doing service." Richie said for her as he pulled her out of the store. They stepped onto the cement sidewalk, lined with various stores. A few cars passed on the road in front of them. Holly hopped around.

"Oh my gosh!" Holly shouted, holding the dollar bills out. She now had enough for this month and nearly the next. She stopped jumping and looked to Richie who was just watching her.

"Thank you so much!" Holly jumped over to the boy, hugging him.

"Yeah, don't worry about it. Next time I'll require a charge, and I don't mean money."
