Chapter 21

I sat up after I realized it was a night terror. I was sobbing and shaking hard. Nash woke up.

"Haley?" He whispered.

"Yeah..?" I said shakily.

"You okay?"

"Just a bad dream." I laid back down and he pulled me close. I fell back asleep.

A couple hours later, Nash had to get up for school. I woke up.

"Good morning, babe." He told me.

"Morning." I was far from a morning person but I was so thankful for him, I could be different for him. I smiled and stretched. I made a weird noise.

"You sound like Matt when you stretch." He laughed.

"Thanks. Haha." He smiled. He combed his brown hair up and put on a blue, short sleeve button up. He looked adorable. I gave his a hug and kiss and walked downstairs. Becca was gone already. I had time to myself.

I decided to go back to sleep for a little bit. I didn't have another night terror. Thank god. I woke up at 11am.

I walked downstairs and sat on the couch for a little bit. I remembered my contest for Prom. I pulled out my phone. I turned Pandora on, 5 Seconds of Summer came on. After that, I got to work.

I posted a vine.

"Hey guys! Prom coming up? Want me to go with you? Read the description below." I said to the camera. I typed the description after that. 'There will be two winners from Vine, Twitter, and Instagram. Post a comment telling me why you want me to go with you. Winner will be chosen tomorrow at 5pm.' I posted and thing like that on the other two social media websites. The comments flooded in. I was excited.

After finishing that, I decided to go shopping. I ran upstairs to get ready.

I changed into a Spider-Man t shirt and a pair of white skinny jeans. I put on mascara, eyeliner, and foundation. After that, I straightened my hair. I walked back downstairs. I put on a pair of white flats and headed out the door.

I drove to the mall. I walked to Kohls. Shopping there was my favorite. There were a lot of people there. I saw a mint green skater dress. Mint green was my favorite color. It reminded me of mint ice cream, my favorite. I grabbed it and walked around some more.

"HALEY?!" Some girls said.

"Hi!" I smiled. They came walking over to me.

"Will you take a picture with us?"

"Of course." I smiled as they took a picture.

"We're going to go Prom dress shopping at Debs. We want to will your contest." They tell me.

"Mind if I come with you?" They seemed over joyed. I gave them my number so we wouldn't lose each other. I paid for the dress I bought and walked to my car. I called them. There were three girls- a blonde named Liv, a brunette named Katherine, but called her Kat, and a girl that also has blue dyed hair like mine named Ariana. They were all really pretty. They treated my like a regular person, not like a well known person.

I walked into Debs and they were waiting there for me.

"Hey." Liv said.

"Hi." I replied.

"I don't know what I want." Kat said.

"I'll make a deal with you guys."

"Okay. what is it?" Ariana said.

"I'll go to Prom with you guys, if you like don't give my number out."

"Okay!" They all said.

"Alright. Are you guys going for a certain style or color theme?" I asked.

"We want short, flared out dresses with a little bit of detail on top. Any color." Liv told me.

"Okay." I walked over to a rack of dresses. They all were exactly what they described. There were a ton of different colors.

"This is totally the dress guys." Ariana said.

"Yes!" The rest of us agreed.

"I call light blue!" Ariana said.

"Orange." Liv called.

"Pink!" Kat said.

"Mint green!" Everything seems to have my favorite color lately. I smiled.

"Yay!" Liv smiled.

"There's bows to match them too." I told them and pointed to the wall of hair accessories.

"Yes!" Kat replied. We each grabbed a bow to match our dress. We paid and walked to our cars. I put my dress away and so did they.

"Our Prom is in a week on Saturday." Ariana told me.

"How about we talk the details out at Starbucks?" I pointed to Starbucks in front of us.

"Okay!" She yelled back. We all walked over to Starbucks and ordered our drinks. We sat down at the window booth. Liv and Kat sat next to each other and I sat by Ariana. We talked out all the details and walked back out to our cars. It was 3pm. We said bye and drove back to where we had to be. I just drove home.

I walked into the house and no one was back yet. I sat on the couch and listened to music.
