Choices

Chapter 27

I woke up a couple hours later. Becca and Hayes were in the room. Nash must be somewhere else. I really just need to hate him. He cheated on me twice. I can't keep letting him get more chances, or he'll start thinking it's okay. I just was irritated with him.

I opened my eyes and saw Becca and Hayes laying down on the empty hospital bed across from me. I tried to sit up. Hayes saw me.

"Woah woah woah now. Lay down and I'll help you." He said. He walked over to me and pressed buttons on the remote. The buttons moved me up. I saw a cast on my arm. I must've broke it. I don't remember why I'm in here. It all went away. The last thing I remember is breaking up with Nash.

"How you feeling?" Becca asked.

"Not well. I'm hurting. Badly." I really was. My side, my head, and my entire body hurt.

"I'll tell the doctor." Hayes volunteered.

"I'll be right back, I have to go to the bathroom." Becca said as they walked to the door. I laid my head back on the pillow. I stared at the ceiling. I just was white tiles with fluorescent lights every so often. Someone walked through the door. It was the doctor.

"Hey, I heard you were in pain?" He asked. I nodded my head slightly. He put something else in the liquid that was pumping into my body. I looked at my arm. It had an IV in it. Bruises were patchy but covered my arms. There were bandages that covered some cuts. The doctor left back out the door. I pulled the blanket up. It was just me and the faint sound of the TV playing next door. Nash walked through the door. I shut my eyes so it looked like I was sleeping.

"Too slow." I groaned to myself. I didn't feel like dealing with him. He sat down next to my bed. He texted someone and moments later, all the MagCon guys walked through the door. I smiled.

"Hi!" They all yelled. Bart, the manager walked over to me.

"We all wanted to see if you okay." Bart told me.

"Thanks." I replied.

"But we have a question.." He said.

"Okay."

"I know it's probably bad timing, but would you and Becca like to join MagCon? You can use your joined account with Becca." I was thrilled. I held my arms out and Bart hugged me, followed by all the others but Nash. I saw him sitting on the chair farthest away from us. Becca and Hayes walked in.

"We're in MagCon!" I yelled to Becca.

"Yay!" She yelled back.

The guys stayed for a while. I exchanged numbers with them all and they all gave me a hug. I kissed them on the cheek and they left. I sat there smiling.
