Chapter 40

We arrived at the building for MagCon at 1:20pm. The first people to practice were Jack and Jack. They had sound check.

"Swear we'll never change.

Get away from it all

No plans but a drink in my hand

No shoes no shirt swimsuit ray bans

"Haley, Shawn, you're up." Bart told us. I felt nerves kick in. My heart beat tripled. Shawn's done this before so he wasn't scared. I was.

"Here's a guitar." Shawn handed me a lefty guitar, because I am a lefty. We walked up on the stage to practice. Matt was sitting in front with the rest of the group. I smiled and strummed the first note. We sang Say Something.

After us, everyone else just ran on stage because it started in a couple minutes.

Then the people piled into the room. Girls, guys, dads, moms, security. Hundreds of people. Bart walked on stage to greet everyone.

"Good afternoon, everyone. Thank you for coming to MagCon Tampa. Hope you enjoy the show." He walked back down. We all walked onto the stage and the crowd went wild. A rush of excitement rushed through me. Adrenaline. I felt like I could do anything. Matt was across the stage. We all danced.

"Now Q and A time!" Aaron yelled. The crowd went wild. After it quieted down, we answered some questions.

"How many of you are single? And who are?" One girl asked. We all had separate microphones to talk into.

"The single people are Nash, Hayes, Carter, Jack J, Aaron, Shawn, Sam, Dillon, and myself." Cameron answered. The crowd was quiet.

"Who are Taylor, Becca, Jacob, Mahogany, Haley, Matt, and Jack G dating?" Another person asked. I looked at Matt and Matt looked at me. As the same for Taylor and Becca.

"I," Taylor started, "am dating... Becca." The crowd boo'd, cheered, and just went wild.

"I'm dating someone named Madison." Jack G added.

"#Jox is real." Jacob and Mahogany announced.

"And umm, I'm dating.. umm.. Haley." Matt said and blushed. He looked at me and wrapped his arm around my shoulders. I wrapped my arm around his waist. Some people cheered and boo'd. After q and a, we all danced and had fun with the crowd. Then It was time for Shawn and I to do our duet for real. I grabbed the guitar. I saw Matt out of the corner of my eye. He was standing by the front row people signing things for them and taking pictures. Shawn and I strummed the guitars. They cried quieted down. Emotions flew through my body like water rushing down a river.

"Say something I'm giving up on you.

After a couple more moments, I felt like I was a pro at this. The emotions were only happy now. I put my heart and soul into this performance.

When we were done, the crowd cheered. I thought I saw people crying. Then everyone came back on stage. We danced and had fun. Jacob sang She Looks So Perfect by 5 Seconds of Summer. That song was amazing.

We signed autographs for people. Matt walked up to me and wrapped his arms around my waist. People awed and took pictures. I smiled. Matt walked me behind the stage and smiled.

"I love you." He whispered softly into my ear.

"I love you too, Matt."

"Fun, isn't it?" I nodded my head and he kissed my neck.

"Matt, what are you doing?"

"Having more fun." He smirked.

"We're going to get caught."

"They're all having fun on stage. No one will know." He pulled me as close to him as he could and lowered his hands.

"Matt..." I whispered quietly. I ran my hands through his hair. He put his hands under the hem of my shirt.

"Matt, where are you?" Carter yelled through the microphone.

"Finish this later, Princess." He ran back onto the stage.

"Where did you go?" Nash asked. I fixed my shirt and hair.

"Bathroom, yeah, bathroom." Matt said.

"Where's Haley?" Someone in the crowd asked.

"Right here." I ran on stage laughing. Matt smirked at me. He walked over by me.

"I left a little present for you on your neck." He whispered in my air.

"Matt!"

After that, we all danced some more and then it was VIP time. A group of 5 girls and 5 guys walked in. We all took pictures with them and just talked.

By the time MagCon Day 1 was over, it was 8pm. I was really tired. We all drove back to the hotel and hung out in Cameron's room.

Sorry I haven't updated in a while. I just don't know what to write. I have Cedar Point, an amazing amusement park, in 6 days. And The Fault in Our Stars the same day. Then the week after that is my last week of school (and my birthday on June 11) so I'd be able to write a ton more. Well vote and comment.
