Chapter 13

I woke up to only Nash in the room. It seemed late. He looked tired.

"Nash." I whispered.

"Haley?" He looked up at me.

"How long have you been here?"

"A couple hours. You've been in the hospital for 2 days now. I had school but I came here right after school let out. Becca is in the lunchroom here and Hayes should be back in a minute."

"Thank you."

"You're welcome. How are you feeling?"

"I'm okay." I lied. I didn't feel well. My arm hurt and breathing was hard.

"Alright."

"What happened to me? Why am I here?" I was scared.

"You passed out. You had a nightmare or something and something happened. we took you here. You woke up, then blacked out again."

"Oh. Thanks." I saw Hayes and the doctor walk into the room.

"Oh hey Haley." Hayes said.

"Hey." I replied.

"You can leave tomorrow Haley. We still don't know what happened you. We are still figuring it out. You should get some sleep, I know it sounds funny." The doctor told me.

"Nash, you can go home if you want."

"I want to stay though." He was too sweet. I scooted over.

"You can lay right here with me?"

"Okay." He smiled and laid next to me. I put my headphones in and fell asleep. Nash was asleep before me.

I woke up. Nash was still sleeping beside me. It was 8pm.

"Hey, Haley." Becca whispered.

"Boy am I glad to see you." I told her and laughed softly.

"Missed me that much?"

"Way more than that much." I sat up, careful not to wake Nash.

"How you feeling girl?"

"Better. Do you know what happened?"

"They said you have severe night terrors. And they are still figuring out why you blacked out."

"Night terrors?"

"When you kick and scream, thrash and cry, get out of breath in the middle of the night."

"Oh.." I laid back down.

"Where's Hayes?" I asked her.

"He went to go get something."

"Oh okay." I laid back down.

After a couple minutes, Nash woke up.

"Good morning." He said in a raspy, sleepy voice. Damn. It was hot. I smiled at my thoughts.

"It's like 8:30 now." I giggled.

"Oh haha." He laughed.

"Everyone's up!" Hayes said as he walked though the door with someone.

"Haley?"

"Mom?"
