Chapter 43

"We're at the hospital." Becca told me over and over again. I couldn't really understand what she was saying. I looked around the room. I was in a hospital bed. Matt wasn't in there.
"Where's Matt?" I asked.
"He had to go to a meeting with the guys." Becca responded.
"Oh. okay."
"Haley, I have something really important to tell you."
"What is it?"
"I'm... pregnant."
"WHAT?"
"Don't tell anyone! I haven't even told Taylor yet. So you better keep your mouth shut!"
"I will, don't worry."
"Okay. I trust you. I'm 2 weeks."
"I'm going to be an auntie."
"Haha, yeah." The doctor walked in.
"May I speak to Haley alone please?" He asked.
"Sure, yeah." Becca walked out to the hallway.
"Well, Haley."
"Yes?"
"You are.. pregnant."
"WHAT?!"
"About 2 and a half weeks."
"This can't be right. Are you sure?" He laughed.
"Yes, Haley, I am sure."
"I- wow."
"Are you still with the father?"
"Yeah."
"Good. You can go home as soon as you're ready."
"Can Becca come back in?"
"Yeah." He walked out and Becca walked back in.
"So do you have like a disease or something? You screamed loudly. You're not like going to die right?"
"I'm pregnant."
"HALEY! OH MY GOSH!"
"We got pregnant around the same time."
"Call Matt!"
"Call me why?" Matt walked through the door. Taylor, Nash, Carter, Cameron, and Hayes walked in the door. Becca and I shared a scared and nervous stare.
"Ummm, I can go home right now." I answered.
"What was wrong?" He asked.
"I just had a bad upset stomach."
"Oh okay. Let's go back to the hotel."
"Okay."

I laid down on the bed and stared at the ceiling while Matt took a shower. Thoughts on thoughts on thoughts (Get my reference? Buckwild👌) ran through my head. Everything is going to change. Why didn't he use protection? Will he stay with me? I hope you accepts fatherhood. Shit! Tomorrow is Father's Day. I should tell him that way.
"Babe. You okay?" Matt asked me. He was wearing just a towel around his waist and he was brushing his teeth.
"Yeah, just a little under the weather."
"Okay. If you need anything, yell for me."
"Come cuddle me when your done?"
"Of course, Princess."
"I love you, Prince."
"Love you, too." He put clothes on and cuddled me.
"Babe?" I asked.
"Yeah?"
"I want to fly back tomorrow. I want to plant flowers on my dad's grave."
"We are all flying back tomorrow. Did you forget?"
"Well I do have a minor case of short term memory loss."
"You do?"
"Yeah." He wrapped me in his arms and I fell asleep. It was about 11pm.

We flew home the next day. I told Becca about my plan on how I'm telling Matt. After I go to my dad's grave, I'm going to go home and give him a Father's Day card. I'm so nervous.
It was 11am after I got back from my dad's grave. I planted sunflowers, his favorite. I went to the store and bought a card. I wrote inside of it:
'Dear Prince,
Surprised you have this card? I was surprised I bought this card for you. Well, I'm pregnant. Yeah, pregnant. 2 and a half weeks that is. I found out when I went to the hospital. I was actually sick but I guess it was more than that too. Well, I'm going to have a human in my stomach for the next 36 and a half weeks. Love you ❤️

I put it in an envelope and tucked the flap in.
I drove home and walked through the door.
"Finally! Come sit! Hurry!" Taylor yelled at me. Becca must of told him and they are about to announce it. I sat on Matt's lap and we wrapped his arms around my waist.
"Well." Becca and Taylor said.
"Yes?" Jacob asked.
"Becca has a human being in her stomach and I am the cause of it." I laughed.
"What?! Yay! TAYLOR!" A bunch of yells erupted from around the room. Everybody started clapping. I jumped up and hugged them.
"When you going to give him the card?" Becca whispered in my ear.
"About to."
"Good luck."
"Thanks."
I walked over to Matt and grabbed his hand.
"Follow me please." I told him. We walked upstairs to my room. I was feeling really emotional. I wanted to cry, scream, smile, everything. We sat on my bed.
"Yes?" He asked with his happy normal voice.
"Here." I handed him the card. He
Looked confused for a second then opened up the card. He opened it and read it.
"Haley..." I didn't look up at him. He put his finger under my chin and raised my head. He had a huge smile on his face and hugged me really tight.
"I'm pregnant."
"I know that, now."
"How do you feel? are you going to stay with me?"
"I'm happy surprised. Of course I going to stay with you! Can we go tell the other guys?"
"Uhh, sure."
He ran downstairs as soon as I said sure.
"Haley, hurry down!" He yelled. I walked downstairs and Becca walked over to me.
"Is he about to tell everyone?" She whispered quietly.
"Yeah."
"Come here Haley." I walked out to the living room. Matt looked at me, as for asking for permission to tell them. I nodded.
"Well, Haley is also pregnant!" The same reaction Becca and Taylor happened to us. Everyone have us hugs and told us congrats.
After everyone was done hugging us, Matt hugged me. It was perfect. I kissed him and kissed me back. I heard people taking pictures of us. I just smiled and hugged Matt some more.
