Chapter 28

By dinner time, I was hungry. I haven't are in days. Literally. The nurse walked in the room. Her name tag was Lena.

"Lena?" I asked her.

"Yes?" She replied.

"May I eat?"

"Of course. What would you like?"

"A salad, no meat, and some Mac and Cheese please." I smiled.

"I will be back soon with it." She walked out the door. I checked my phone. I had a text from Kat, reminding me her Prom was tomorrow. I totally forgot. I texted her back telling her I'll be there. Becca walked through the door, teary eyed.

"What happened?" I patted the spot on the bed next to me ad she sat down.

"Hayes- he broke up with me." I was shocked.

"Why?!"

"I supposedly was making out with another guy." Her emotions went from sad to angry. She wiped her eyes. I still couldn't believe it. I hugged her. She hugged me back and we sat there in silence.

After a while, she laid down in the bed across from me. Lena walked in with my food. I was relieved. Following her, Nash walked in. Then the rest of the MagCon guys. They had balloons and teddy bears. I stopped eating and smiled really big.

"Hi guys!" I said.

"Hey." They replied and gave me hugs. I saw the look on Nash's face. He didn't like me hugging the other guys. I was single so it shouldn't matter.

"Just set those down over there." I told them. They put down the gifts and gathered around me. I finished eating and talked to them.

"How excited are you to be in MagCon?" Taylor asked.

"Super!!"

"How's your contest going?" Carter questioned.

"I have one of the Prom's tomorrow and I haven't actually chose the other ones. But I can right now!" Cheers erupted. They handed my three buckets and helped me write down names of people that entered. After that, we put them in a bucket.

"Why don't we broadcast it?" Aaron volunteered.

"Yes!" Everyone said. I didn't look great. I had a hospital gown on, no makeup, and my hair was in a bun.

"Give me a half hour. Then we'll do it." I walked to the bathroom and changed into a black tee that Bart gave me. It had all the guys on it. I put on black yoga pants. I did cat eye eyeliner and simple mascara. Becca helped straighten my hair. After that, I walked back out. It only took me fifteen minutes.

I heard Matt whistle at me and saw Nash give him a look. Aaron turned on his laptop and logged in. He opened YouNow and we all greeted the camera. I made tweets, vines, and Instagram posts saying things about the broadcast. I had about 10,000 people watching.

We pulled two names from each bucket.

"The vine winners are- Ryan from LA, and Matt?" I looked over at him. He was smiling. I mouthed him he won.

"The Instagram winners are Lizzie from New York. And Jake from Michigan." Jack J announced for me.

"The twitter winners are Taylor from LA. And Logan from Florida." Shawn announced. I looked over at Taylor and he was smiling. The boys finished talking to the camera and shut it off. I walked over to Matt and Taylor and told them they won. It was funny. Taylor hugged me friendly. Then Matt hugged me. It wasn't just a friendly hug. It was a long, tight hug. The boys were staring at us. I saw Nash walk out.

After the hug, I sat on the bed and posted the winners so everyone could see. Matt sat next to me. All the other guys left home, including Nash and Becca. Matt stayed with me. It was just me and him. We laid next to each other. It was sweet. He wrapped his arm around me. I felt butterflies in my stomach. Was I liking Matt? Was I ready for another relationship?
