The Daughter led them up a mountain on the edge of a cliff. "Have you noticed that the seasons seem to change with the time of day?" Obi-Wan asked. "Yeah," Anakin sighed. "And there are no animals," Ahsoka added. "Can you sense it?" Obi-Wan asked. "Mmhmm. Since we landed. The Force is unusually strong here," Anakin answered. "That's what I've been saying!" Rey said. "An intersection I have never felt before. Be wary," Obi-Wan warned. "Excuse me. Who are you taking us to?" Anakin asked. "The Father of course," the Daughter scoffed. "Of course," Ahsoka snickered.
Obi-Wan decided to intervene, "What exactly are you?" "We are the ones who guard the power. We are the middle, the beginning, and the end," the Daughter explained vaguely. "Glad she cleared that up for us," Anakin smirked. When they were about to turn a corner they came to a halt, when they saw every plant turning a deathly shade of red. Suddenly a boulder came down on Rey and the Daughter. "Hey, look out!" Anakin shouted, as he pushed them out of the way. Ahsoka and Obi-Wan fell back and Obi-Wan lost his balance. He gripped the cliff's edge trying to pull himself up, but then Ahsoka helped him up. "Thank you," Obi-Wan breathes. "Your welcome," Ahsoka replies. On the other side of the boulder that now blocked the pathway, Anakin had landed right on top of Rey and the Daughter lay a few feet away from them.
Rey and Anakin groaned. For the first time since they'd arrived, Anakin noticed her gentle, hazel kaleidoscopic eyes. "Are you going to stare at me forever, Sky Boy?" Rey joked. Anakin blushed and got off her hurriedly. He then walked to see if the Daughter was okay. When he reached out and touched her, she snapped towards his direction saying, "It is forbidden for you to touch me!" Anakin jumped back in surprise. "Sorry, I was just saving your life." The Daughter sighed worriedly, "That was my brother's work. You are in great danger. Wait for me. Do not leave this place." "Hey, wait!" Anakin shouted after her. Rey put a hand on his shoulder, which sent electricity down her spine. He turned around and smiled at her gently.
Suddenly his com link beeped and Obi-Wan's voice came from it, "Anakin? Anakin, are you there?" "Yeah, but our friend here has run off," Anakin said pointedly to the Daughter. "Go back to the ship and try sending another distress call, while Rey and I follow her to find out how to get of this rock." "And if this is a trap?" Obi-Wan questioned. "Then I'm not gonna wait around here to find out!" came Anakin's reply. "Anakin stop wait for us to find another way around to meet with you and Rey," Obi-Wan said. Anakin chose to hang up the comm link at that point. "Anakin. Anakin? He is so reckless and impatient," Obi-Wan sighed. "They'll find her," Ahsoka stated. "Yes, and what else?" Obi-Wan groaned. "Storm's coming," Ahsoka said. With that they headed back towards the ship.
Anakin had started walking to catch up with the Daughter, but Rey stood behind. When he saw this he turned around to face her. "Well, come on let's go." "I think we should wait for the others," Rey sighed. Suddenly they heard a loud boom overhead. "Well, they went back to the ship to call for help and I suggest we get moving so that we don't get caught in a storm," Anakin sighed. Rey still stood still. "To be honest, I'm scared." "Me, too, but don't worry. No harm will come to you, not while I'm around," he sighed. She chuckled, "Actually, I meant I was scared for you. In the future, I've heard stories." Anakin just rolled his eyes and sighed, "So you coming or not?" "Well someone's gotta save you from getting into trouble," Rey laughed.
