The ceremony had been over for at least two hours and Poe still hadn't returned. "Finn, something's wrong. Poe should've been back by now," Rose sighed. He nodded his head in agreement. "You're right. Maybe we should go look for him," Finn replied. "After he walked down the aisle, I saw him head up to that cave on the side of the cliff. There's a path that leads up to it," Rose added. "Okay then, let's go," Finn stated as he and Rose left the group of high ranking officers.
Finn and Rose went in the direction that Poe went in trying to find any sign of him. They followed his footsteps which led them to a cave. They heard Poe crying inside the cave and were about to walk in to comfort him. However, they heard another voice in the cave and Finn paused and pulled Rose back before she completely went in. Finn and Rose had their backs up against the wall of the outside mouth of the cave. "What's going on? Who's in there with Poe?" Rose whispered. "It's Kylo Ren," Finn whispered back.
"What the hell are you doing here?" they heard Poe say. "Calm down. If I were here to kill you, you would've been dead the minute you wandered into this cave," Kylo chuckled darkly. "So why are you here?" Poe asked suspiciously. "A truce. You and I need each other. You want to get to the past to find Rey and I need for Luke to stop haunting me," Kylo proposed. Finn and Rose heard Poe say, "And how am I supposed to help to stop Luke from torturing you? If anything, you deserve it."
Finn smiled proudly at Poe's remark. "He said that if, and only if, I do something to help you, that he would no longer pester me. Do we have a deal?" Kylo bargained. Finn and Rose never heard Poe say a word, but they already knew he accepted the deal. "Then, it's settled. We will leave within the next week and start our adventure," Kylo said as he started to leave. "Hold on. Finn and Rose get to come with us. Deal?" they heard the new General say to the new Supreme Leader.
"No deal. I will not go anywhere with that traitor!" Kylo growled. Finn was about two seconds from marching in the cave and beating the kriff out of Kylo Ren. It was all Rose could do to hold Finn back from getting himself killed. Suddenly, they heard Poe start speaking again. "They come or else you'll have to find some other way to get Luke to stop annoying you," Poe stood his ground. After awhile they heard Kylo agree and then he left the cave with the hood of his cloak up.
Finn and Rose remained quiet as Kylo exited the cave. However, the Supreme Leader had already sensed them a long time ago and turned to face them. "If you tell anyone about our little mission, I will hunt you down and tear you to shreds. Capisce?" Kylo threatened. "Yeah, we got it," Rose snapped. Kylo nodded slightly and ran towards the cliff and jumped off. Rose and Finn gasped and ran to the cliff's edge. Then, they saw a First Order ship rise up past the cliff and they saw Kylo walking up the landing ramp and into the ship. Once they saw the door close, the ship took of into the stars.
"Guys?" Poe said behind them. Finn and Rose turned around and Rose said, "So, this is really happening? We are really siding with the man who has killed most of our troops, destroyed our homes?" "I--" Poe was cut off by Finn saying, "How do we know he won't kill us?" "Shut up!" Poe yelled. Rose and Finn paused and we're taken aback. "Yes, we are teaming up with him, but only as long as it's mutually beneficial. Trust me, if he even breathes the wrong way on our mission, I will be the first to shoot him in the head," Poe continued.
Finn exhaled deeply and said, "Well then, I guess we're officially... Siding with the enemy."
