Mystery on Mortis. Sent to discover the origin of a mysterious distress call, Obi-Wan Kenobi, Anakin Skywalker, his Padawan, Ahsoka, and a young woman named Rey are stranded on a distant planet. There, they discover three beings more powerful with the Force than any Jedi have ever seen before. The Father keeps a fragile balance between his Daughter, who allies with the light side, and the Son, who drifts ever closer to the dark. With his strength failing, the Father asks Anakin to stay and take his place, preserving the balance between light and dark, but after passing a perilous test, Skywalker refuses. This turn of events now seems to be put on the shoulders of Rey, as she now has to protect the Chosen One from evil. Now we find our heroes about to depart for their journey home-- or so they think.
Ahsoka took a break from co-piloting for a minute and let Rey take over so that she could go in the back room of the ship. However, Anakin slept restlessly because of the dream he was having. He was back on Mortis and heard a man's voice calling his name. "Anakin. Anakin," the voice called. Anakin's eyes shot open. He sat upright and buried his face in his hands. Then he stood up and saw someone across the lake from him appear out of the mist. The man started gliding across the water and over to him. Anakin realized that it was his dream self again, but something felt different. "It's true what they say. You are the Chosen One," Dream Anakin said. The real Anakin smirked. "Join me. Together we can change the balance of the universe, my friend," Dream Anakin said morphing into his true form of the Son.
Anakin's eyes darkened, "You must know I will never join the dark side willingly." "How simple you make it-- light and dark, as if there is one without the other. Aligned, you and I can restore balance wherever we go, peace to the universe." the Son implored. "By becoming a Sith. Never. Rey warned me about my future and I won't let you turn me down the dark path," Anakin snarled. Anakin turned to walk away, but the Son, furious and surrounded by a turret of flame, shouted, "We will destroy the Sith and the Jedi." Anakin still walking away from him turned around when he heard the shriek of the monster the Son had become. The Son lunged at him in his beastly form when everything went black and Anakin woke up.
He woke up back on the ship in a cold sweat. Ahsoka was standing in the corner and Rey was walking into the back room. "Were you having a nightmare?" the girls said walking over to he was and standing on either side of him. Anakin sat up straight and sighed, "Something like that." "If you're done taking care of your new boyfriend, Rey, I could use some help here," Obi-Wan said. "I'm coming. And he's not my boyfriend, first of all. Second, I don't date married guys," Rey argued heading towards the cockpit. Obi-Wan smiled, "Oh, my mistake." Rey and Anakin were almost in the cockpit, when they heard Ahsoka gasp behind them. They quickly turned to see the Son holding Ahsoka in a neck lock. The cockpit door slammed shut behind the two Jedi as they glared daggers at the Son. "Leaving so soon? Not without this, you won't," the Son laughed. The Son opened the boarding ramp and jumped out of the ship, but not before Rey could pounce on him.
"Ahsoka, Rey!" Anakin shouted. He quickly closed the up the boarding ramp and headed to the cockpit. "What's going on?" Obi-Wan asked. "The Son took Ahsoka and Rey," Anakin said frantically. Anakin pushed multiple buttons while breathing frantically. "What in the blazes are you talking about?" Obi-Wan asked concerned. Anakin couldn't take it anymore, so he pushed Obi-Wan out of the way and took the helm of the ship, "Move. Let me fly." The ship instantly sped up when Anakin took the wheel, but poor Obi-Wan was holding back nausea and hanging on for dear life, literally. The Son held Rey and Ahsoka by their arms and flew quicker to lose Anakin and Obi-Wan among the rocks. The Son started weaving in and out between the rocks trying to lose them, but Anakin was relentless and kept on his trail. Anakin zoomed in faster this time, but right when he almost had the Son, the Son flew at the speed of light and disappeared.
