Anakin glared daggers at the Son. The Father was heartbroken, but he wouldn't allow his emotions to get the better of him. "You do not understand that what you will do will destroy all that is good. I beg you, restrain yourself and stay," the Father pleaded. "I cannot," the Son replied. "And then it shall be. I love you, my Son," the Father said. The Son arched an eyebrow. "Do you?"
With out another word, Anakin and Rey ignited their lightsabers and fought the Son. The Son blocked their attacks with his forearms and then he flung Rey back and choked Anakin. He tossed Anakin over his head and Anakin landed on his back on the other side of the arena. Ahsoka and Obi-Wan immediately activated their lightsabers, but were quickly knocked away by the Force.
The Father took this opportunity to grab the dagger. The Son suddenly looked in his Father's direction. "What?" The Son laughed, "You're going to kill me now?" "I held hope that you could resist the dark side. But I can see now... that there is no going back," the Father said, as he raised the blade and pointed it to his chest. The Son's eyes widened in terror, as he said, "Father." After he said that, the Son watched his Father plunged the dagger through his own heart.
"No! What have you done? It did not have to be this way," the Son cried catching his dying father in his arms. "Yes, my child, it did. You and I are tied together, and your strength flows through me. This way, I take away your power," the Father breathed heavily. The Son gasped, "Please, don't die." "I always knew there was good in you," the Father said embracing his son.
The Father looked over the Son's shoulder and nodded to Anakin, who had regained consciousness and was silently making his way towards the Son and the Father with his ignited lightsaber. The Son heard the swing of a lightsaber, but had no time to act and he and his Father were impaled by the cerulean blade. The Son's last words were, "And so, you have betrayed me, Father."
Then, the Son collapsed on the arena floor dead. Anakin deactivated his lightsaber and reattached it to his utility belt. He then knelt besides the dying Father and whispered, "It is done." "And now I die, my heart broken, but knowing the role... you will play," the Father gasped. "And what is that, exactly?" Anakin sighed. "You are the Chosen One. You have brought balance to this world. Stay on this path, and you will do it again for the galaxy. But beware your... heart," the Father said, as he drew his last breath.
Anakin watched as the Father's body disappeared. As Anakin rose to stand, Rey, Ahsoka and Obi-Wan walked over to where he was. They all just stood in front of the body of the Son and the garments of the Father in solemn silence They heard the planet coming down all around them and an explosion in the sky. They looked to see themselves and each other engulfed in the same bright light, as like, when they first arrived. They closed their eyes as the light grew brighter and brighter.
Suddenly, they woke up back in their shuttle in space at the rendezvous coordinates. A voice over the holocom made them wake up. "General Skywalker, come in," Captain Rex said. "We read you, Rex. Can you hear me?" Anakin sighed. "Yes, sir, standing by. We were worried. You were off the scopes there for a moment," the clone replied. "A moment? We've been gone more than a moment, Rex," Anakin chuckled. The captain gave Anakin a confused look. "Sir, I don't understand. You'll need to explain." "You wouldn't believe me, if I told you. However, when we were away, we found someone. A young woman named Rey. We're coming in now," he said looking back towards Rey, who then blushed.
Anakin then piloted the shuttle toward the, now visible, star cruiser.
Well, Rey, I guess this is where your fun begins...
