Star Wars the Clone Wars: The Third Generation Meets the Past

Portals

Two hours earlier...

  Finn and Rose looked at each other oddly and then looked back at her. "Wait. Are you the same Ahsoka that fought with the Rebellion?" Poe asked. "No, she was my grandfather's Padawan during the Clone Wars," Kylo argued. "Gentlemen, please. I am the Ahsoka that studied under your grandfather, however, I knew him only Anakin... Skyguy. But I am also the same Ahsoka Tano that helped the Rebel Alliance on Malachor," Ahsoka answered.

  "Why are you here?" Finn asked curiously. "I'm here to help you go back to the Clone Wars and find your friend," Ahsoka answered. "Actually, she's their friend not mine," Ben corrected. The minute he said that, Poe quickly popped him in the back of his head, while still looking at the togruta. "Ow!" Kylo yelled. "Shh, don't interrupt!" Poe whisper-shouted. Ahsoka simply smirked and said, "Come with me."

  She began to walk off towards a sparkling object far into the distance. They quickly followed after her. "Uh, where are you taking us?" Finn asked trying to keep up with the Gray Jedi. "I told you, we're going to the Time Portal," Ahsoka repeated. "What he means is where exactly is it?" Rose corrected. "It's in a cave that's near an old base," the togruta chuckled.

  Ahsoka was true to her word and led them to a cave near an old base. However, they couldn't tell if it was of Rebel or Imperial origin. As they walked past the base and towards the cave, Finn noticed two people sitting next to each other at the front of the cave. Both were human. One male and one female. The man had grayish black-blue hair that was cropped short. The female had short and spiky graying purple hair with faded pink highlights. They looked early to mid-50s and about the same height. The man was probably two or three inches taller than the woman.

  "Ahsoka, you're back!" the woman said. "And you brought the Junior Rebels you were talking about," the man added with a smirk. They both stood and Ahsoka walked over to them and hug them both. When they let go, Poe got a good at the two people Ahsoka greeted and realized immediately who they were. "No way. You guys are Ezra Bridger and Sabine Wren!" Poe said excitedly. Rose gasped and squealed with happiness. Finn gaped in surprise and shock. Ben looked away from them and shifted uncomfortably.

  Sabine and Ezra smiled kindly at Poe, Finn, and Rose.  Then, they turned their attention towards Kylo Ren who had suddenly found the ground very intriguing. "Ahsoka, is this the one that you said was related to Vader... er... Anakin," Sabine muttered. "Mm-hmm. I knew him when I saw him. He was moody. He was wearing black. He was strong with the Force. He was tall and the dark side was rolling off of him like waves crashing into the rocks," Ahsoka sighed while shaking her head.

  Poe, Finn, and Rose snickered to themselves, but Kylo shot them a death glare. "Oh, and he also has the Skywalker Death Glare," Ahsoka added. "Can we just please find this portal?" Ben sighed in annoyance. "As you wish," Ezra agreed. Ahsoka, Ezra, and Sabine led the four youths into the cave. Once inside the cave, Ahsoka, Sabine, and Ezra stopped in front of a mural that was painted on the wall.

  "This is it," Ezra announced. Poe, Rose, and Finn arched their eyebrows and tilted their heads. "Uh, that's a painting," Poe said slowly. Ben furrowed his eyebrows at the mural. The painting depicted three beings. A woman with ivory skin and teal colored hair stood on the far left. A man who kind of reminded Kylo of the Grand Inquisitor stood on the far right. He wore dark clothes and had red eyes. Then, an old man stood in between the two others. Each of them held one of their hands in in the air, but in different directions and positions. "Okay, Ezra, Ahsoka, time to do your Force thing," Sabine said interrupting Kylo's thoughts.

  Kylo didn't know what exactly happened, but one minute Ahsoka and Ezra are using the Force to for some reason and the next the painting is alive! The hands began to move. Whispering voices echoed through the cave. Perhaps the weirdest thing yet was the Loth wolves came to life and ran further into the cave. "Come on, guys, before we miss it," Sabine said excitedly as she ran after the wolves. Ezra smiled and followed after her. Ahsoka laughed and said, "We'd better catch up with them."

  Suddenly, they were all running after the wolves. When they finally caught up to the wolves, Ahsoka, Ezra, and Sabine were smiling the wolves that were now forming a portal and then they turned to see Rose, Finn, Poe, and Ren breathing heavily and they frowned. "Now's not the time to be resting, guys. Here's our portal," Sabine said. They all stepped through the portal not knowing what lies ahead.

  They were wandering through a space with different glowing white paths. "What is this place?" Rose asked. "This is the World Between Worlds," Ezra answered. "Do you know where we're going?" Kylo asked. "Ezra and I are using the Force to find the portal that you and your friends need to enter," Ahsoka said. "Well, I hate to be that guy, but are we there yet?" Poe whined. "Shut up! We get there when we get there," Ren gritted through his teeth.

   As they were walking, Poe, Finn, Rose, and Kylo heard multiple different voices whispering. "Dude, what is that?" Poe asked Kylo. "I know it's not of the known physical universe, but that's about the extent of my knowledge," Kylo replied. "What are they saying?" Rose questioned. "I don't know, it's all jumbled up," Finn responded.

  Ahsoka finally stopped in front of a door and all of the whispering voices stopped. "This is the gateway to a specific time in the Clone Wars. It will lead you all to Rey," Ezra said. "Thank you so much," Rose said gratefully. "No problem," Sabine smiled. "However, you must be careful when you're in the past. Don't make extreme changes while you're there, otherwise it could a drastic impact on the future," Ahsoka warned. She banged her staff against the path they were standing on and the portal suddenly opened.

  "Well, here goes nothing," Poe sighed. Then, Kylo, Finn, Poe, and Rose walked through the portal. "May the Force be with you," Ezra said as the portal closed.

  On the other end of the portal Kylo and the others walkex into a war room on a ship and they were immediately surrounded by clone troopers with blasters at the ready.
