Chapter Twenty-Four Rescued

When Ealish had excused herself to the restroom, she looked around for a way out. This was going to be difficult.  But she knew it was her only chance to get away. If she was careful enough. So when she got to the restroom doors,she turned and ran straight for the exit. Kicking off the pinching plastic shoes as she ran. The dress sounded like it was ripping in places but she didn't care. All she cared about was getting away from that freak.

It felt like forever before she finally found an exit that would get her out of there. As she worked on the door, she thought she heard Miles coming. Peeking over her shoulder, she didn't see him or anyone else. But she wasn't going to take the chance that he had noticed she was gone for too long. Ealish tried to open the door for herself but it was much too heavy for her. She slammed her whole weight into it and it didn't so much as shake a little. Her hands pressed on the cold glass on the door as she stared outside. Nearly sobbing she was so anxious to get out of the place. It was taking too long,way too long. Miles was probably very suspicious by now. No one took that long to use the bathroom. Nearly crying, she tried to get the attention of the staff to help her. Either her voice wasn't that loud or they just couldn't hear her over the other patrons in the place.

Suddenly the door was swung open and she nearly collapsed onto someone else's shoe. A very familiar shoe that she nearly laughed with delight. In a happy voice she asked,"Jaquelin?"

"Well who else would it be, Ealish?",Jaquelin asked. He scooped her up quickly, put her in his jacket pocket. Then quickly turned back to his car as she started sobbing happily and hugging him. It was nice to be away from Miles, who probably was wondering where she was. Maybe even asking the staff if they saw her. But she didn't care. He wasn't ever going to see her again and she was safe. When they got in the car, she sat on his shoulder and asked,"How did you find me? I didn't even know where exactly I was."

"Your little fairy friend told me. She's probably with your Mother, Cousins and their homebot.",Jaquelin explained. He drove off towards his home as Ealish smiled broadly. She said,"I really can't wait to see them."

"Neither can they to see you."

The Toad man watched as his former friend drove off with his obsession. He gripped the Beetleman's arm tightly as he snarled,"Go after them! I'll deal with the man inside."

"What?! Why me?!"

"You want your fucking wallet back right?",the Toad man asked. His voice was snarly and the Beetleman nodded his head violently. Then started after the car. Asoka flew down in front of the Toad Man's face as she screamed,"I WON'T LET YOU HURT MY GIRLFRIEND YOU GIANT CREEP!!"

She blasted her magic with such strength that it almost blinded him. He screamed as he fell onto his knees. His hands gripping his face as he cried out in pain. The Beetleman came back to assist him and Asoka flew off after the van. Giggling with glee as she watched the Toad Man being helped by the Beetleman. As well as some patrons from the restaurant. A few on lookers as well.

But Asoka wasn't really interested in them.

So she flew harder as she watched them go. Grinning that soon she'd be able to see her friend and hold them tight. She missed her so much and she only wanted to hug her tight. Hoping that she'd be able to convince her to visit her home.

Ealish was greatful that Jaquelin had her clothes in the guest room. She was missing them dearly and loved how they felt against her skin. In a quiet voice, she said,"I can't believe this is almost over...I'm going to see my Mother,cousins and Koa again. Maybe I'll see Asoka."

A faint knocking from the door made her jump a little and she said,"Come in!"

Tightening the shirt, she saw that it was Jaquelin. He was holding a tray of food in his right hand and had a telecom under his armpit. With a smile, he said,"I figured you probably didn't eat on your 'date' so I made you a sandwich and soup."

"Thanks is my family calling yet?",Ealish asked. She sat down on the bed as she took the tray from him. Jaquelin sat down next to her as he said,"Yeah. But I was curious about something."

"About what?",she asked. Ealish looked up at him as he asked,"I was curious if you'd like to speak with Asoka before your family. Would you?"

"Yes! Is she here?",Ealish asked. A smile slowly spread on her face as she saw Asoka on his shoulder. She smiled as she said,"Indeed I am. And I've missed you so much,Ealish."

"I missed you too.",she said. Her friend flew over to her and pulled her into a hug. Both stared at each other before she kissed the princess's cheek. And she said,"Thank you for helping Jaquelin save me."

"You're welcome, love."
