If there was anything that Ealish really wanted, it was her freedom. She was at the mercy of the 'helpful' people. So called 'friends' who were trying to make her happy. Or at least use her for various means that she didn't want. But wasn't able to stop in the slightest bit. At least if she didn't want to be thrown out into the freezing cold of winter. To her own horrible freezing death in the snow.
Ealish toyed with the dress that she was given a few times. It felt too tight and was rather scratchy against her delicate skin. Even though it looked soft and loose when she saw it. But she dare not complain about this to Marsha. Ealish was afraid that she toyed with the lipstick that she was given. It was dreadfully a boring color and she hated it. Though it went awfully well the rest of the hideous 'make-up' that she was given. Which didn't really seem like real make up but toy stuff given to kids. But she did the best she could with it. Trying very hard to make her face look lovely and not cheap. Or cakey like she'd seen bad make-up do to her cousins.
Glancing at the clock in the bathroom, she sighed. It would be at least another hour she'd be at her date. With the creepy mole man that probably wanted to keep her.
As she pulled her hair up,she walked out of the bathroom. In a calm voice, she said,"I'm ready, Marsha."
"That's lovely,Ealish. You look so beautiful in that dress!",Marsha gushed. Quickly picking her up as she eyed her outfit on her. It was odd how the woman was so interested in the outfit. Like she didn't view her as a person anymore. As if she really was just a living dress up doll for her sick enjoyment. And Ealish hoped that she could get to Asoka when she got the chance. The fae was probably her only chance to get home to her family. Her only other real friend as well. Aside from the kids and their father Jaquelin. She really hoped that she could get a chance to comm him when she got away from Miles. If she could get away from him that was. Her heart pounded as they watched TV together. The show was some cartoon that she couldn't get invested in. Her mind was too focused on the 'date' she was going to be on. And how she was going to run away from Miles and his tenant. All she could hope for was someone taking pity on her and getting her to a comm link. Anything that would help her get home.
Asoka had checked several windows of the apartment complex. It had taken nearly all night but she was sure that she was nearing the end of her search. So far she hadn't found her friend. But she wasn't going to be giving up so quickly. After all, she knew where in a general sense where Ealish was. It was better than no information at all and she was desperate. All she needed was to find the right room.
When she felt that she wasn't going to find her, she spotted her. In a dingy apartment with an older woman. Who was playing with her hair as she spoke to her. From the looks on Ealish's face it wasn't good things. It was like she was being treated as a living doll. One that did whatever the woman wanted. Despite the clear discomfort on the poor girl's face. The woman continued to toy with her hair until she seemed satisfied. Asoka frowned as she tried to figure what was going on. As she watched, the older woman picked up her friend and carried her to the door. Asoka pounded on the glass as hard as she could but neither of the women seemed to have heard her. So she tried screaming as loud as she could, nothing seemed to be heard. As quick as possible, she tried to open the window, only to find it locked tight. And the lock itself completely frozen over.
So she flew around the side of the building to see where they'd come out. A moment later, she saw them leave out of a nearby door. A tall creepy man holding Ealish tight to his chest as they walked to another building. As she tried to follow, she screamed to the small human. Trying desperately to get their attention. But nothing was working. As they got into the other building, she cried Ealish's name. But the poor girl didn't hear her. Neither did the man holding her. And when they were out of sight, she almost started sobbing in frustration. Her human was trapped with some weird man that she didn't know. How was she going to save her from the man now?
With her mind racing, she noticed the man from earlier. He was just parking when she flew down to him. Banging on the window until he rolled it down, she pointed to the building. Then she cried,"A man took Ealish in there! We need to save her!"
Not needing to be told twice, Jaquelin got out of his car quickly. Hurried to the alleyway instead of the front door. Figuring that he shouldn't let the strange man see him coming. Just in case he tried something to Ealish.
