Both girls sprawled out on the bed as they cuddled. Asoka letting Ealish rest against her shoulder as they relaxed. Finally able to have a calm moment after what had happened. She told her of all the things that she'd been through since her kidnapping. The way she was treated by the Toad, Blaise, Miles, and Marsha. How she thought she was going to die several times. From either being cold or being treated like a creepy doll. And how lucky she was that Jaquelin had taken pity on her the way he did. As well as how he saved her from Toad in the first place. When the story was over, Asoka said,"I'm glad that we found you. I was afraid that the woman was going to hurt you or worse."
"I felt like I was going to be.",Ealish admitted. She looked at the Fairy Princess as she continued in a soft voice,"Miles seemed interested in hurting tiny things. And Marsha threatened to toss me out into the cold more than once if I didn't date him."
Asoka hugged her tight as she almost started sobbing. Calmly she started rubbing her back as Ealish choked back sobs. Her cheek resting against her temple as she cried. It had been an exhausting few days. And she felt bad for not helping her sooner. It felt like it was somewhat her fault. In a gentle voice, she said,"That must've been terrifying. I'm sorry I hadn't shown up sooner than I had. You didn't deserve any of that."
"It isn't your fault, Asoka. It's their fault. And they're never going to find me ever again.",Ealish muttered. Trying to compose herself as she scooted away from Asoka. Wiping away tears as she tried to put on a brave face. Sitting up on the pillow, she said in a low voice,"I'm free and I'll be going home as soon as my family gets here."
"Will I ever get to see you again, Ealish?",Asoka asked. Hoping that Ealish would at least come back someday. Maybe visit her again. The small human nodded a little. In a calmer voice, she answered,"But not for a long time. I think when I get home my Mother won't let me go on another trip. At least not unless she gets to comes with."
Her Mother was crying when she saw her daughter was safe with Asoka. Holding her close and kissed her all over her face. After her Mother hugged her, Mililani told her how scared she'd been. How sorry she was that she didn't hear her screams. So did Nalani and Koa. All of them then started asking about what had happened. With tears in her eyes, she told them what had happened. Her first kidnapping by a crazed fan. Then her rescue by the man who's apartment they were in. As well as the second and third kidnappings. And that she'd been forced to date the last kidnapper's landlord. And by the time she was done talking about it, Koa started apologizing. Crying on and on about how he should've helped her. Assuring him that it wasn't his fault. That it was the 'Toad's' fault for taking her. Jaquelin tried to apologize but she wouldn't allow it, it wasn't his fault either. Blaise was a monster and he couldn't get to her now. A moment later, his kids each hugged her and told her that they'd miss her. Each begging her to visit them when she got the chance. Promising that she would, before she left with her family she gave them her number. It was nice to finally be safe with those she loved the most. Her Mother holding her and Asoka close as they walked to the car. Telling her that they'd be going to a hotel instead of staying at her cousin's place for the night. And that they'd call the police from the room. They'd also get her luggage from their place in the morning.
"Okay, Mom.",she said as they got into the back seat. Roisin kissed her cheek before looking at Asoka. With a small smile, she said,"Thank you for what you did for my daughter. You're so brave, how could we ever repay you for what you've done?"
"I was wondering if it would be okay with you to help Ealish get wings?",Asoka asked. A small smile on her face as she looked at them both. Roisin was taken aback and she asked,"How would that be possible?"
"I know some magic that would help us create wings for her. In my tribe, we do this for people who've lost wings in a fight or been attacked by animals.",Asoka explained. Glancing at them both for their reactions. Ealish's face was a mass of complicated emotions. Her hands toyed with her outfit as she thought of it. Having wings would be wonderful and a thrill. But she wondered if they'd be safe to have. Or if they'd be worth it either. And her Mother was looking a bit confused as she stared at Asoka. Then at her daughter as she asked,"Do you wish to have wings, Ealish? And to fly like this beautiful fairy can?"
"Will it hurt me?",she asked her friend. Asoka assured her that it wouldn't hurt. And that it would help her get around easier. With a smile, Asoka said,"It would be like our first flight together. And if you ever come back, I can show you my family."
Her Mother looked hesitant at the mention of coming back. Roisin bit back the urge to tell her that she couldn't come back. Ealish said,"That sounds like a tempting offer. And the wings could keep me from danger...I've always wanted to fly."
Looking up at her Mother, she smiled a little. And she asked,"Can I get wings, Mother? Please?"
"Of course you can, baby.",Roisin said. Kissing her daughter's cheek, she continued,"You can have wings if you want to have wings."
Looking back at Asoka, she smiled broadly. Hugging her tight as Asoka said,"Good. We can start the ritual when we get to this motel place. We need to be near a small body of water and we're going to need some candles."
"I think her cousins have some.",Roisin said. Looking up at her nieces as Nalani answered,"We do. We'll just drop you guys off and get them."
Both girls hugged again as they sat on Roisin's lap. Ealish smiled as she watched the world go by out the window.
