We found out later that Malfoy was trying to get Hagrid fired and Buckbeak executed. This made me extremely angry because Hagrid is an amazing professor and Buckbeak is super sweet.
"Malfoy! You git! All you care about is your idiotic reputation! You are so selfish! My god, you don't even care if others get hurt because of you!" I screamed at him in the common room after dinner.
"Does it look like I care, Potter?" he said, glaring at me.
I crossed my arms. "Why would you? You're totally fine as long as you don't get hurt!"
He shrugged. "Potter, why are you, the Fake Slytherin, yelling at me?"
Crabbe and Goyle walked up and stood behind Malfoy, with crossed arms and matching glares.
Millicent walked up behind me.
Malfoy smirked because he knew he had some backup to help if he needed it.
'Wait... I can use my animagus form!' I thought, a twinkle in my eye.
I focused on my wolf form and transformed.
Crabbe, Goyle, and Millicent all gasped and backed away. Malfoy, however, only stepped closer.
"Think you can scare me, Potter?"
I growled.
He smirked.
"You can't hurt me, Potter."
"Try me," I said.
And with that, he backed up a little.
Malfoy got himself ready for a fight.
"Come at me Malfoy! I bet you're scared!" I yelled.
By now, a lot of the Slytherins were surrounding us in a large circle. Some students moved chairs, couches, and tables for more room.
Some of the Slytherins began chanting, "Fight! Fight! Fight!" at us.
Malfoy had a wicked smirk on his face.
And then he threw a punch.
I saw his arm and ducked, running straight at him. I knocked him down and he glared at me.
I growled at Malfoy, and he got up, charging at me.
I went to him and tripped him.
"Oooh!" Went the crowd.
Malfoy gave me a death glare and got up.

Growling, I ran towards him and hit his legs, causing him to fall again.
