Chapter 39

We each had a blindfold over our eyes. We saw nothing.

We were taken up a path that I could tell led to a gate. The gate was opened and we were led through it.

I heard doors opening. We were thrown onto the floor.

"Get Draco," hissed Bellatrix. "Now, what have we got here?"

"A Malfoy -"

Narcissa Malfoy gasped loudly.

"Two Weasley's, a goblin, a guy named Dean Thomas, and some kid named Vernon Dudley. And Y/n Potter."

Bellatrix walked up to us. " Potter? Hm..." she turned. "This girl... she looks quite like that Mudblood, Granger. Draco!"

Draco came into the room, gasping audibly when he saw us.

"And Star, oh, how you've grown..." Bellatrix said, and I knew she gave a wicked little grin. "It's going to be so fun tearing you apart."

"No!" Narcissa shrieked. "Don't hurt her!"

"And why wouldn't I?"

"Because she's my daughter!"

"That makes no difference! She is a traitor to the Dark Lord, Cissy! A traitor! I will make her feel that way!"

"Wait!" Lucius Malfoy said, pushing Draco toward us. "Draco, is this Harry Potter?"

"I-I can't be sure...."

"Is this Hermione Granger?"

"I-I still can't be sure...."

"Come on, Draco," said Lucius impatiently. "Imagine how happy the Dark Lord will be when we turn in the Potter twins!"

"I... I still can't be sure, father."

The Snatcher cleared his throat. "I hope you won't be forgetting who found them. Anyway, I have something that we found."

"And what is that?" Bellatrix said.

I heard a smooth noise.

"WhErE dId YoU gEt ThAt?" Bellatrix shrieked.

"I found it in their tent."

I could feel my Polyjuice wearing off. 'Bloody hell,' I thought.

"Send the boys down to the dungeons," said Bellatrix, pulling Hermione and Star to her, "those girls too.

We were pulled away as they started ushering Harry, Ron, and Dean toward the dungeons.

"No!" Ron shouted.

He was shut up as the dungeon door closed.

The blindfold was still over my eyes and I heard Star being taken toward Bellatrix.

"Stop struggling!" Bellatrix said, holding down Star. "You're just a traitor, that's all you ever will be!"

Star's screams echoed throughout the Manor.

"Stop it! Bellatrix, stop it!" Narcissa screamed.

"Traitor! You betrayed the Dark Lord! TRAITOR!"

I heard a crash and Star screamed again. She had been thrown against the wall.

I heard footsteps and I knew Narcissa was rushing to her.

Hermione was taken next.

"You're a filthy -" -scream from Hermione- "- little -" -scream- "Mudblood!"

Hermione's screams, just like Star's echoed in my mind and throughout the Manor.

"You Mudblood! Where did you get that sword?"
