Chapter 36

(A/N: Hey guys~ I'm so sorry for not updating for a few days! I've been busy... ok now.)

Once we walked through the door, something started screaming. Harry and Hermione shut it up, somehow.

We walked throughout the house, noting what to clean.

Kreacher the House-elf walked through the hall to us.

"Master?" he said quietly.

"No," said Harry, startled by the sudden appearance, "Sirius is dead."

"No, sir," the small creature said, shaking his head, "you're my new master. My old master gave you all of his stuff, including the house."

Harry looked around, surprised. "Ok."

Kreacher then disappeared.

"Alright then," I said, holding out my hand, "Harry, can I see the locket?"

"Sure." Harry handed me the small locket.

I opened it and a note fell from it.

"To the Dark Lord
I know I will be dead long before you read this but I want you to know that it was I who discovered your secret. I have stolen the real Horcrux and intend to destroy it as soon as I can. I face death in the hope that when you meet your match you will be mortal once more. -R.A.B."

"Who is this R.A.B.?" I said to no one in particular.

A few days had passed. We had spent those days tidying up and cleaning.

I looked around and noticed that Ron had disappeared.

"Ron?" I called.

"Up here!" he said from above us. "Come here, I've found something!"

I dashed upstairs.

Ron was looking at a door.

I looked at it. There was a sign on the door that read, "Regulus Arcturus Black."

"Wait," I said, glancing at the note in my hand. "R.A.B.!"

"Y/n," said Star, running up behind us. "You're genius!"

"Why do you sound so surprised?" I joked.

"Kreacher!" Harry said, appearing behind us.

"Yes, master?"

"Do you know who Regulus Black is?" I asked.

"My old master!" Kreacher cried. "Great man, he was."

"What do you know about the locket of Slytherin?" Star added.

"Master had tried to destroy it," said Kreacher, looking down. "He took me with him to the cave and we stole the locket. I had to put in a fake locket and master told me to destroy the real one, but I failed. No matter what I did, I failed. Master was killed because the Inferi drowned him."

"Do you know what happened to the real locket?" Hermione chipped in.

"I hid it in my cupboard, but the thief stole it -"

"Who?"

"Mundungus Fletcher. All I know is that he sold it to a woman for good money."

"Who?"

"A pink, toad-like lady," said Kreacher, scowling.

"Umbridge!" Harry shouted.

"That filthy -"
