'I wonder what crazy crap is gonna happen this year..' I thought, imagining a lot of bad things, like Lord Voldemort, and a lot of death.

We began getting information about our first quest, and we found out that it was about dragons. Hagrid had shown us.

Harry and I began practising non-stop for this. I was extremely nervous.

One day in the common room I was practising my spells and what I was going to do. I had a pretty good idea, but I wasn't sure.

I heard some whispering behind me and turned around because I had thought that I was alone.

I looked over and saw Bryson and Millicent.

"Hey, guys..." I yawned.

"Y/n! You need to go to sleep! It's already past midnight!" Millicent said.

"Yeah, Y/n, you've been practising too much. Enough is enough," Bryson added.

I looked back down at my wand.

"I know, I know..." I sighed and stood up, walking back to my dorm.

I yawned and fell asleep.

"Good job, Y/n! You're a Hogwarts Champion! That's amazing!"

"And she's the Slytherin Seeker!"

My parents looked down at me.

"If only she had been put into Gryffindor just like us, that would make everything better!"

"You're right, James."

Their smiling faces turned into scowls quickly.

Malfoy walked up next to them.

"Yeah, Potter, you are just a faker! You Fake Slytherin! You'll never be anything like us, you're such a weakling!"

I looked around and saw all of my friends and family glaring at me, looks of hate.

"What did I ever do to you?" I asked, fighting tears.

"You lived!" They all replied.

I woke up with a start and yelled.

"Y/n! What's wrong?" Millicent asked, sitting up.

"Just... just another nightmare..." I replied.

I lay in bed silently crying.

*A week later*

I walked with Harry out in the courtyard.

"You know, Potter," said Malfoy, up in a tree, "my father and I have a bet. He says you won't last ten minutes in the tournament. I say neither of you will last five."

"Listen, Malfoy," I said, marching up to him as he jumped from the tree. "I don't give a damn about some bloody bet between you and your father. He's a vile man. You're just pathetic."

Malfoy stood right in front of me, looking down with a smirk on his face.

"Oh really?" He pulled out his wand.

Then suddenly, he was a white ferret.

I backed up, covering my mouth with one hand. I was shocked. I started giggling.

Ferret-Malfoy scampered around a little, then was lifted into the air by nothing and forced down Goyle's pants.

Professor Moody walked up to us, his wand pointed at Malfoy.

Malfoy emerged from the foot of Goyle's pants, squeaking.

"Alastor?" said Professor McGonagall, walking up behind us. "What are you doing? Is... is that a student?"

"Technically, it's a ferret."

Professor McGonagall turned Malfoy back normal again.

Malfoy lay on the ground for a few seconds before getting up quickly, his smirk replaced by one of a tiny bit of fear.

"My father will hear about this!" he said, stepping back.

"Is that a threat?"

Silence.

*The day before the first quest*

That one nightmare had really put something in my mind.

I began thinking about it regularly. I rarely ate, and I wasn't social. My friends were constantly asking if I was ok, and I always said yes, faking a smile.

I was also really worried about the Quest tomorrow.

Really, it's dragons!

I had stopped practising all day and kept it to one hour every night.

*Later*

'No... no... not today... not now!' I thought, reimagining the nightmare I had.

"Potter? You ok?" someone asked, a bit of worry in his voice.

I shook my head violently and opened my eyes. I was sitting in front of the fire, my back to the sofa.

"Potter, are you ok?" the person asked again.

I closed my eyes and rested my head on the couch cushion behind me.

"I..I'm fine."

"No, you aren't! You haven't been eating, socializing, or anything!"

I looked up and opened my eyes. Malfoy, of course, was kneeling in front of me.

I looked away. "Malfoy, what do you want? To save me again?" I said harshly.

He looked taken aback.

"Y/n..."

"No! You do not get to do that! Listen, can I just get a little bit of time alone?" I replied, sighing.

Malfoy got up and went back to his dorm.

'He hates you... just remember that...' My inner-self said.

I stood up, but then sat back down on the couch.

*The day of the first task*

Everyone was escorted down to the Quidditch pitch.

Harry, Cedric, Fleur, Viktor, and I went into a tent where we had to get assigned our dragons.

Harry and I got the two most vicious dragons.

"I'm screwed!" I told Harry as Cedric was going.

"You do have a plan, right?" he replied.

"Oh, yeah! I do!" I remembered.

I nodded to myself and got ready.

While Harry was going, I cheered him on.

'He deserves to win this!' I thought, clapping.

He completed his task and I walked outside to many claps from the Slytherins and a few Gryffindors.

I took a deep breath and looked up at the large dragon.

"Accio Invisibility Cloak!" I yelled.

Harry's cloak flew through the sky up to me. I threw it on and was completely invisible.

Then I ran up to the egg, unnoticed by the dragon.

I grabbed the golden egg and ran back to the tent, throwing off the cloak.

"Y/n Potter has gotten the Golden Egg! That completes the first quest!"

Harry went up to me and hugged me.

"You weren't screwed after all, huh?" he said jokingly.

I laughed and smiled, for the first time in a while.
