A few months passed. We were ready for the next Quidditch match.
The Gryffindor team soon arrived and so did the rest of the Slytherin team.
"Slytherin team, I want a nice, clean match," Madam Hooch said, looking around at the teams. "Now, captains shake hands and mount your brooms."
I shook hands with Harry and mounted my Firebolt.
Madam Hooch blew her whistle and we took off. I flew around for the Snitch, not paying much attention to anyone else.
I did see Star hit a Bludger toward the Quaffle. She knocked the Quaffle away but didn't hit the Chaser going for it.
Harry and I spotted the Snitch at the same time and dove.

I was walking to the Slytherin common room when I passed Draco.
"Draco, hi, where are you off to?" I said, turning toward him.
"Library."
"Mind if I join you?"
"I do mind actually. You look cold, go warm up inside," Draco said, walking away.
I took a step back, then continued to the Slytherin room.

One cold night in December, a week before break started, I walked up to the Astronomy tower. It was around nine o'clock, but I didn't get in trouble on my way there because Star escorted me.
I stood there, in front of the rail, looking at all of the constellations. My (long/short) h/c hair blew harshly in the chilling wind. Half of it went behind my head, the other on my face.
(A/N: The struggle is real.)
I looked down at my hand. The words "I must not tell lies" were scarred there.
It was cold but peaceful. I was wearing a thin f/c jacket with blue jeans.
The white stars showed brightly against the black sky. It was amazing.
"Y/n?"
I spun around, only to see a dark shadow. The shadow was walking closer until I realized that it was Draco.
"Draco?"
"What are you doing up here? Especially this late," he said, walking up to me.
"Just wanted to clear my head."
That was a lie. Yes, I wanted to clear my head, but I also came up here to think. Plus I love looking at the stars.
I quickly wiped away a small tear that had just formed in my eye, due to the fact that I never spoke with Draco anymore.
"Are you ok?" he asked.
"I'm f-fine."
Draco pulled me close to him, in a tight hug. "No, you aren't."
"I am. Don't you have some corridors to patrol or something?"
He looked down at me, saying, "You know, you were my first kiss."
"I-I was?" I asked, looking up at him. "You were mine too."
He nodded.
"Hey, Draco?"
"Hm?"
"Why don't we ever talk anymore?"
Draco was quiet.
I didn't like this new silence.
"I'm sorry, Y/n, I really am, but I can't tell you...."
"Why?"
"I just can't."
"No matter what it is, I won't hate you. I won't stop loving you. I will accept whatever it is."
"I'm sorry." Draco let go of me and walked off.
"Wait!"
He didn't stop.
I was left, once again, alone, in the silent astronomy tower.
I stepped to the back of the railing, staring up into the dark sky.

(A/N: *Cough* I know I'm doing everything out of order, but I really want to get here so I'm going to skip.)
The next day, Harry and I were walking to the Great Hall together.
"So, there's this new spell that I found, Sectumsempra, and it's from that Potion's book I got!" Harry said, showing me the page.
"Ooh, what does it do?" I asked.
"Not sure," Harry said as we walked to the Gryffindor table, "but I want to find out."
There was a loud chatter that got oddly louder. We looked around and saw Katie Bell walking with her friends.
"Katie!" Harry and I said together, standing up.
"Listen, Harry, Y/n, I know you're going to ask this, but I don't know who cursed me. I'm sorry," she said.
She left and we turned around. I saw Draco standing there, a look of shock on his face. He then swiftly turned around and left.
We followed him into a girl's bathroom.
"Why the hell is he going in there?" Harry said quietly, as we followed him.
"No clue."
I looked at Draco while hiding behind a stall. He was washing his face off in the mirror, throwing water on himself.
I saw him break.
He was building himself up again.
"W-who's there?" he said, snapping around.
Draco apparently saw me and Harry.
We all began throwing non-verbal spells at each other. I accidentally broke a sink, and the water began spilling everywhere.
"Crucio!" Draco said, aiming his wand at Harry.
"Sectumsempra!" Harry shouted.
Draco flew backwards. We couldn't see what happened because we were hiding behind a stall, but I heard a few gasps and weak cries.
I ran in front of Harry, and to my horror, saw Draco lying there on the wet floor, his chest and face gashed open.
Snape rushed in behind us and up to Draco. Harry began leaving.
"Don't move, Potter."
Harry walked back over to me. We watched as Snape began healing Draco.
He knelt over Malfoy, drew his wand and traced it over the deep wounds Harry's curse had made, muttering an incantation that sounded almost like a song. The flow of blood seemed to ease; Snape wiped the residue from Malfoy's face and repeated his spell. Now the wounds seemed to be knitting.
"Vulnera Sanentur," Snape whispered.
Once Draco's wounds were fully healed, Snape had me take him to Madam Pomfrey's, just in case.
I walked back to find Snape scolding Harry.
"Sir, I found it in an old potion's book!" said Harry defensively. "I had no clue what it did!"
"Detention, Potter. You too, Miss Potter."
I nodded curtly, then walked out, followed by Harry.
