Chapter 30

(Draco's PoV)

"Draco! Come down here! Please," Mother said, at the base of the stairs.

"Yes, Mother?" I said, walking down.

"Your aunt Bellatrix has brought you a gift," she said.

Bellatrix walked up, holding something in her palm.

"Just a little something before your initiation next week," she said, handing a necklace to me. "I found it near the Burrow." 

I looked at it, holding the chain. It seemed familiar.

"You may now go," Mother dismissed.

I walked back to my room, examining the snake-charm necklace.

Then I remembered. Y/n had shown me this exact necklace during the train ride home.

Once inside of my bedroom, I sat down on a chair and touched the blue charm.

It lit up, glowing a soft blue.

"No..." I whispered to myself.

Bellatrix knocked on my door. I quickly put down the necklace and said, "Come in."

"Did you like the gift, Draco?"

"Yes. I have a question, however."

"And that is?"

"Where did you get it?"

"Oh," she let out a little cackle, "I stole it from the Potter girl. I would've taken her in for torturing, but I figured there would be time later."

"Thank you."

She turned without another word and left.

I picked the snake-charm necklace up again and it glowed.

As I was quite keen on the subject of love charms, I knew what this was and what it meant.

Y/n and I were soulmates.

(Your PoV)

Mrs Weasley, Mr Weasley, Fred, and George all went to go help fix up the Burrow daily. After a week, Mrs Weasley shook us all awake, saying, "Come on, we need to go to Diagon Alley!"

We woke up and dressed.

We Apparated into Diagon Alley since we couldn't use Floo Powder.

After walking around, getting our books and stuff, when we saw Draco and his mum walking quickly into Knockturn Alley, an alleyway dedicated only to the Dark Arts.

"They look like people who don't want to be followed..." Ron said as we began following them.

Star gulped.

They turned a corner and entered a shop know as Borgin and Burkes, which sold Dark objects.

We followed closer and Harry pulled out the invisibility cloak.

"Ok, Y/n, get under, Hermione, Ron, and Star go up there and look," Harry said, motioning to a window.

"Ok, be careful!" Hermione said.

"Wait!" Ron pulled out a small box. "Extendable Ears!"

He handed two to us and then got out some for Hermione, Star, and himself.

We stood by the window, listening closely through the ears.

"Extend your left arm," said a drawling voice, which I realized to be Bellatrix.
