*May*

Draco and I hadn't really communicated a lot lately. But on the day of Buckbeak's execution, as The Golden Trio and I walked down to Hagrid's hut, we did.

"My father said I get to keep the head!" Malfoy said to his goons.

We were passing Malfoy, and Hermione was already pretty pissed off about something.

She marched straight up to Malfoy and punched him right in the nose.

"The hell Granger?"

"You deserved that well!" Hermione said.

We continued walking to Hagrid's, but I hesitated a little.

I looked back at Draco, who was running back to the castle with Crabbe and Goyle.

Then I walked back with Harry, Ron, and Hermione.

*After the execution*

We were walking back to the castle when Scabbers escaped from Ron's hands.

"Scabbers!" he yelled.

We ran after him to the Whomping Willow.

"Harry... this isn't safe!" I said to him.

He looked at the ground.

Something then grabbed Ron and pulled him into the Whomping Willow.

"RON!" Hermione and I yelled.

"AHHHHHHH!!" He screamed.

We ran in and followed Ron's screams to the Shrieking Shack.

"Why are we here?" I asked cautiously.

I looked around and saw Ron, lying on the ground, in pain, his leg twisted in a weird way.

"Ron!" I yelled.

He groaned in response.

The large dog stood near Ron.

"GO! Get away from our friend!" Harry screamed.

"Wait! I think I know him!" I shouted, turning to my Animagus form.

I barked at the dog.

"Oh, hey! I know you!" Sirius barked back.

Then, Professor Lupin walked in with Snape.

I quickly transformed back and looked at the Professors.

"What are they doing here?" I whispered to Hermione.

She shrugged.

I prepared to fight, but I didn't need to.

I woke up in the Hospital Wing about an hour later. Hermione and Harry weren't there, but Ron was in the bed across from me.

"Oh dear, you're awake!" Madam Pomfrey said, rushing over to me.

"What happened? Why am I here?" I asked.

"Oh, I'm not entirely sure, but your brother said something about a spell hitting you... I don't know, sweetie."

I nodded. "Thank you, Miss."

I looked over at Ron.

"His leg is broken, dear."

"Oh ok, thanks for telling me!" I said.

I smiled and rested my head on my pillow, falling asleep.

The next morning I when I awoke, Harry and Hermione were both sitting next to me.

"Hermione! Harry!" I said happily.
