What's Good about being Fine?

"Wha... What happened?" I mumble after I decide that I am in fact, not dead. Looking around, everything was.. off in a way. The controls were wet somehow as were my gloves, not to mention how everything was just blurry. Blue lulled me out of my thoughts as I made sure she was okay.

'Okay Lance, you wake up in your lion after crash landing into the bottom of an ocean? To top it off, you were thrown out of a wormhole and it's freezing in here.' Sighing, I leaned back into my chair and looked around a bit more. Everything seemed to be clearing up a bit but now there was water on the inside of my helmet. I took off my helmet and looked down at the visor, wiping off the water and looking at the rest of it. 'Huh, that's odd.' There was a thin layer of ice surrounding the top of it as I looked down at my armor, it was the same. 'No wonder its so cold in here... It must be because of the wormhole and the ocean; must of knocked out Blue's temperature control...'

I slowly sit up in my chair to quickly press back into the back rest as pain crawled all over me. Blue slowly perked back up as she finished checking through her systems.

"You don't know how great it is to have you back girl." I said smiling as a headache ripped me from my happiness. I clutched the sides of my head groaning as I ignored the cold that found its way into my body again.

"Hello- He..o?! ......-here? G...s" I looked down at my helmet as I slowly reached for it. 'Thank god someone else is at least near me.' I thought sarcastically, just in time to have the voice blow out my eardrums as I put my helmet back on. "-PIDGE?! LANCE?! IS THERE ANYONE THERE?!?"

"Ah am I glad to hear your voice Hunk." I let a smile creep onto my face as I held my head in my hand.

"Lance? Lance! Oh my- Buddy I am so glad I am not out here alone!" Hunk's voice calmed down a little, "How are you? Is your lion working? Where are we? What happen-" I quickly cut him off.

"One question at a time big guy, one at a time.." I heard him breath out, "One, I feel like I've been ran over by a bus. Second, Blue just finished rebooting and is back in action. Third, no idea and lastly we just got shot out of a wormhole remember?"

"Oh.. oh yeah..." He paused, "Well, I can second you on the whole bus thing and I don't think I will be able to fly- er, rather swim? Yellow for awhile. She took a pretty big hit earlier and crashing into a deep, dark ocean didn't help her either." He could be hear shuffling around a bit as I sighed yet again and turned my attention to the water in front of me, something catching my attention.

"Did you see that?"

"See what?"

"You know, that thing in the water. Look! There it is again!" I turned blue to where I saw whatever it was out there.

"Cut it out man, its bad enough we are stuck in the bottom of the ocean. You don't need to be freaking me out anymore with fake sea creatures yo- HOLYQUIZAKWHATWASTHAT??" Hunk managed to gasp out just a bit to fast.

"See? I'm not crazy! Something is out there Hunk, I'm going to check it out!" I jumped up, ignoring the nagging pain that seemed to be attached to me.

"Oh no, no, nononono, don't tell me you are going to jump out into the mysterious water to find whatever is swimming around and there you go.. chasing after the mysterious water monster."

"Hunk! Its a mermaid!" I chimed in a bit too excited as I slowly made my way in the direction it went.

"Fine! Fine, whatever, but I'm staying here. Have fun going where ever you're going but I'm staying here where its safe mermaid or not." He puffed and I laughed rolling my eyes.

"Alright buddy, stay over here on the cold, dark sea floor, all alone left to whatever might come to get inside of your lion-"

"LAAANCE DON'T LEAVE ME!" Suddenly there was a Hunk on my back and we slowly started to drift off into the water as he knocked me off balance.

-----------------

"And then that's when you came and got us Pidge!" Hunk exclaimed as I slowly walked over to my seat on the bridge.

"But Hunk, buddy, you totally missed the part where my good looks saved us from being brainwashed forever~!" Flipping my hair I sit down and being able to feel them roll their eyes in the background. We all went to talking about how we all survived and where we landed until Coran shoved us out to go rest up. After I took off my armor and stole a few of Hunk's cookies I walked back to my room exhausted. My body was still aching from falling out of that wormhole a day or so ago. 'Don't worry about it Lance, you haven't exactly been able to rest the past few days.' Deciding that was the issue, I tugged on my jacket and walked faster, eager to loose myself to my much needed beauty rest. Though, I just can't seem to shake off the fact that its so cold. Maybe its just a by product of being thrown out of a wormhole? "It has to be.. I mean, we all would react differently from it right? Right. That has to be it. Its just some weird space voodoo and I can sleep it off.." I mumble quietly as I walk into my room. I never thought I could have changed that fast as I looked around for my hidden blanket stash. Needless to say sleep did not come free that night as I found myself lulled into a nightmare.

"Lance..."

I open my eyes to find myself on the floor, colder than ever as I spot my jacket and slowly tug it on.  My head started to ache a bit as I tried to find something else in the dimly lit room. I slowly stood up, never more thankful to be wearing my normal outfit to help protect against the freezer box that I just happen to be stuck in. 'Where am I anyway?'  This obviously wasn't the castle, and I'm not in Blue... so, where /am/ I?

"Lance~"

"What the... Who's there!?" I call out into the void, only hearing the echo of my voice. 'I can't stay here...' Deciding that's a logical idea to follow in my current horror film situation, I slowly made my way over to where the faint light was coming from. My headache was getting worse the closer I got to the light, but the cold behind me was becoming even more deathly the further I got from where I started. Yet, I'm not getting closer, and I'm not getting further away. I can't get closer to the light but static started to fill the silence as I broke into a sprint. I couldn't tell where I was going and I could even think due to my headache and the splitting static. Nothing was making sense anymore. Where am I? Whats going on? Who's following me? All of my thought jumbled together as I fell to the ground clutching my head in pain and whispers began to join my already scattered mind.

"Lance!"

Everything stopped at once and I froze in fear. The voice was too crisp as hands slowly closed down onto my  shoulders. I slowly looked down to find a cold, decaying hand on my shoulder and jumped away, making the mistake of looking the.. thing... in the eyes; black, soulless eyes.

"Relax my child... You have no reason to fear me,"  the monster slowly breathed out. White, transparent hair sunk across its equally as white skin. Its skin looked as if it had been frozen with small crystals sticking out of ugly, black and purple wounds all over its body. "My child.. I have finally found you. You who will carry on my gift..." Goosebumps covered my whole body as sat there on the ground unable to move, unable to look away as the monster chuckled. smiling as the temperature dropped twenty degrees. Slowly, it crept out of the darkness, staring me down the whole time as if I am the last meal it will ever get. I tried to get away but I was paralyzed and helpless as this thing charged at me. "YOU WHO WILL CARRY MY CURSE"

I sat up screaming as I clutched at my racing heart. 'Cold...' Everything was cold, numb rather, as my eyes raced around the room confirming that I was in my room, in the castle, and that I was in fact awake. My whole body felt numb, but my headache had gone away and didn't follow me out of my dream. Shifting my gaze over to the clock Coran had gave us, I struggled to read what it said with my thoughts racing as fast as my heart. 8:45am was the time currently, giving me fifteen minutes before I had to be awake for breakfast. So, I slung my legs over the edge of my bed and got dressed, pulling my jacket a bit closer as I put it on. I decided to head over to the kitchen to find Hunk, and left my room, failing to notice the frozen hand print I left on the sheets.
