The whole castle broke out into a fit as Lance was ushered to the medical bay. Allura and Keith wasted no time in rushing him over and neither did the others on meeting them there. As soon as Hunk and Pidge caught Coran rushing over, there was nothing in the world that could stop them from going along with him. Lance was still glowing a faint blue as he was laid down on the table that was brought out for him. Keith lingered by him before being shoved away by Hunk and Pidge as they crowed around him while Coran quickly looked him over before clicking his tongue frustratedly. He gave a small glance to Hunk who nodded in return and quickly carried him over to the pod Pidge had brought up, Allura and Coran crowding the panel beside. However, among all of this chaos, Keith just stood their, blankly staring at the scene in front of him, trying to think back on when he found him. It wasn't until Hunk had put a hand on his shoulder, that he realized he had lost himself to his thoughts while he was being walked out of the room and into the common space. The silence in the air hung thick as Hunk took a seat across from where he had seated Keith. It remained that way until the tension in the room wsa broken.
"What happened to him?" Hunk was visibly tense as he folded his hands together at his knees, looking at the ground and then over to him. Slowly looking up, the thick lines of worry and concern lined his face as he waited for Keith to say anything.
Taking a deep breath, Keith slowly leaned his elbows against his knees and exhaled. "I.. I don't know," a pause, "He didn't show up to meet Allura and we went looking for him. We had walked though the old servants' quarters until we found a corner that looked like he was attacked." Both him and Hunk had stiffened slightly at this, "... There was ice shards and frost lining most of the hallway with a black burn mark in the very corner of the turn; not even the lights could get through whatever that black is." Keith took another breath and looked at Hunk, quickly glancing away as Hunk's face filled with an unknown pain. "From there, we ran over to where we had picked up a reading and almost got blasted by a strange light and that's when we found him. His veins were all glowing a pale blue and he was glowing gold.... It was as if some strange energy was being poured into him from inside..." His eyebrows knitted together as he slowly slipped back into his thoughts.
Hunk let a small, uneven breath pass as he brought his hands to his face, deep in thought. His face was telling of some sort of conflict that was going on with himself. He was about to say something as Pidge quickly ran into the room after running past.
"He's awake."
That was all that was needed as the trio took off towards the bay, crowding past each other to get into the room. Lance was seated on the table that was brought out as Coran and Allura fussed over him, talking among themselves about what was on the screen. Pidge had walked over to spy at what was on the screen leaving Lance, Hunk, and Keith to themselves. As soon as the boy locked eyes with the other two, he quickly looked down to the floor, rubbing his arm awkwardly. The other two shared a glance with each other and walked over to him, Hunk taking the chair that was near the bed and Keith stood diagonal to them. The air was just starting to get awkward as Coran spoke up.
"Do you remember what happened to you my boy?" This caught everyone's attention as their gazes split between Lance and Coran.
"Not really..." Lance slowly brought his knees up to his chest as he brought the blanket on the bed around his shoulder, Pidge giving him an odd look before disregarding it.
Coran shifted his panel a bit to be centered with Lance, looking him up and down before letting out a small breath. He looked over at his screen and turned back to Lance, "Could you tell us what you do remember?"
He thought for a bit before sighing and looking up at everyone before turning his attention back to the bed table. "Well, I was in the abandoned hallways when I felt really dizzy.." He paused and scrunched his eyebrows a bit in thought, "and... it went away and I remembered that I needed to get back to meet up with Allura but got lost. From there I was walking to a light and found some weird door with a bunch of writing on it," his voice trailed off a bit as he pulled the blanket closer to himself and continued, "There was also this center consul thing and everything started to glow when I got closer and after that its black..."
