35- Erica

My head was rapidly moving back in forth. My eyes open and took a few seconds to comprehend what was happening. My mom was shaking me. I thought she found out about Harry and I. But it was worse.

"Erica's in the hospital! She was shot!" My Mom said with tears in her eyes. I shot up off the bed. My mom let go of me and say still looking at me.

"What? What happened?!" I asked.

"Frenchie said they were at a club together and a bunch of men were around them and all of a sudden Erica was gone. And when she went to look for her she was..." my mom started to burst into tears. She wiped her tears away and tried to continue without stuttering.

"She was outside by the dumpster and her...underwear...were around her ankles and she was bleeding from her chest. They're at the hospital now with your father. Hurry up and get dressed. Seth is in his way too." She said getting up and rushing down stairs.

I got dressed and went with Mom to the hospital. My sister was in surgery now. The doctor told us she had internal bleeding and her liver was shutting down. My mom and Dad were both crying and I was sitting with Frenchie who was telling me and Seth what else she saw.

"When I found her she told me she was raped and that they kicked and beat her when they were done." Frenchie said then she began to whisper.

"After I called for help, she grabbed my hand and said that it was Louis. I don't know if she actually saw him though cuz I didn't see him, but... I don't know, they were fighting earlier. But I don't think Louis did this." She said putting her hands on her face. Seth and I both looked at each other.

"What were they fighting about?" Seth asked.

"Erica just likes to bring up the old fights to start new ones. She kept saying that he's not a real man for making her get an abortion and that they've been dating all this time and they aren't that public and it feels like he's hiding her." She said.

"Then Erica was even more mad cuz Sarah told her that you and Harry are getting serious and that y'all are official. So Erica took that pretty badly. So Sarah suggested we go to the club, to get her to relax."

"Wait, the blonde one? Harry's ex? How did she hear about that? That literally happened yesterday?" I asked. Frenchie shrugged.

"Well where is she now? Was she with you when you found Erica?" I asked.

"No, she was at the bar drinking when I noticed she was gone. And I didn't have time to find her but I texted her where we are and she hasn't responded.

My parents approached us. My mom was basically hanging on to my dad. My dad was pale and his eyes were red from crying.

"Erica, didn't make it. They weren't able to stop the bleeding in time and Erica's liver was already on the verge of failing. And last nights binge drinking shut it down." My Dad said trying not to cry. My mom started screaming while she cried. Seth started to cry. Frenchie cried. I started to cry.

My sister is dead. Even though she was always mean to me, I still loved my sister. And now, I'll never be able to tell her that I love her.

"I want to find out who did this! I want the best investigators on this! I want them to find who killed my daughter!" My Mom screamed at my dad who was trying to comfort her. But then he burst out into tears and they cried together, mourning the death of their oldest child.
