41- To be or not to be

I managed to get through my last week of school. It was hard. I kept glancing at my phone to see if Harry would text me. But it was never from him.

Lottie told me he's been taking it hard. That he's more cruel than usual to everyone. But apparently he's already hooked up with other girls. Which didn't surprise me since he did that at the beginning too. I felt kinda lost. I feel like my world had revolved around Harry since the night we kissed at the club. And it felt weird knowing I won't hear from him. I thought I would mean more to him.

My graduation is a week away. It's at the main social center in my city. It can hold 72,000 people but at most there will be 2,000 people there. I didn't have a very big senior class.

I decided that I might as well go. I was afraid if I didn't I would regret it.

3 days after my accident, Caroline calls me.

"Hey boo, what's going on?" She asks me.

"Oh hey. I wasn't expecting to hear from you." I said.

"Well I know we're not super close, but I still consider you a friend even after you and harry split up. But either way I still wanna know how you're holding up. All the girls miss you." She said.

"Oh well thank you. And I've been doing alright. It's been a bit tough but I'm done with high school and I don't know if you know but I got into a little accident and broke my wrist so I have a cast on." I said.

"Oh shit girly! Was it from punching Harry?" She asked.

"What? No. I crashed into a tree without wearing a seatbelt."

"Oh. Well I didn't know about that. But I know you got Harry good for being a prick." She said.

"Yeah, I guess" I said. I hesitated to continue.

"How is he?" I asked.

"He's...Harry. Back to original Harry unfortunately. He's not very friendly, he gets down to business, no jokes, and he's been on the hardcore drugs lately too. Even more than when he parties. He's been shooting up the smack and he called me yesterday to get a whole shipment in of coke a month earlier than what we had planned."

"Oh gosh." I said.

"Yeah, but honestly Hunter, you're life might be better off without him. I mean Harry's a good friend but he's an asshole. I've seen him do girls dirty and leave them out to dry. For example my sister, you remember Sarah. I mean she's horrible and Harry can and did do better with you, but he was pretty mean to her." She said.

"Mmmhmmm. I only heard a little bit." I said.

"Yeah but like she deserved it cuz she's a horrible person and talked shit about you all the time. I heard her and I told her to stop telling lies about you. She was talking with Natalia and your sister about how Harry was only doing this because he wants your money and your family's power and shit. And I stood up for you cuz I respect you and I said no Harry really likes her." She said.

"Natalia was talking crap about me too?" I asked. I thought Natalia was nice.

"Oh yeah. Girl Natalia's fake as fuck. Her kids are the only good thing about her."

"But I thought you were friends with her. You came over to liams with her and her babies that day."

"Girl, have you ever heard of keep your friends close and your enemies closer." She said.

"Wow. Is there anyone else who doesn't like me?"

"No. Honestly everyone loved you and how happy you made Harry. He was a different person when he was with you. And everyone misses you." She said.
