Fawn's P.O.V.

It would be a lie to say that when Jack closed his eyes, we weren't worried that he wouldn't open his eyes. Marcus took a hold of Jack, throwing him over his shoulder, before running.

"Marcus, where are we going? How are we going to find Mother Nature!" I shouted, trying my best to keep up with them. "Where are we going?"

"Back to Father Winter's domain. Those who rule domains have ways of contacting each other in case of emergencies or for planning meetings." He looked back at me before looking over to Shard. "Carry her! She's not from Frost; she can't run with ease in the snow without sinking in!"

Before I knew it, I was swept off my feet. I held onto Shard tightly, hoping he doesn't drop me. With the cold wind hitting my face, I couldn't help but shiver. I thought when you're worried for someone else, you don't worry about anything else. Nothing else is supposed to matter, right?

Once we got back to Father Winter's domain, it was surprising to see Father Time standing there with a beautiful woman by his side. Her fair, gorgeous blond hair flowed behind her like the sun. Her beautiful blue eyes were the color of the sky. She stared back at us with worry as her eyes took in Jack's condition.

"My dear. It was a good thing you summoned me, Father Time. Jack Frost has been very close with Fear, and needs to be examined. If what I suspect is true, then I know what we must do." She pointed to a room where Marcus immediately took Jack. "It would be a real shame to loose someone as kindhearted as Jack Frost. Especially now that he need's to run winter."

"Mother Nature? What's going to happen to Jack?" I asked once Shard put me down. "Is he going to be okay?"

She looked at me and gave a small smile. "I'm sure he's going to be alright. I'm not going to let the world loose Jack again. Now rest, sweet child. Jack will be fine."

Her words filled me with a sense of calm. I took a seat in the chair next to Shard and Ron. They smiled kindly back at Mother Nature, almost as if wishing they could receive special attention.

About an hour later, Mother Nature came out of the room, shaking her head no. "Unfortunately, I was right. That boy's heart is almost completely frozen. I stopped the ice from growing, but he needs to thaw his heart."

"How could he do that, Mother Nature?" Father Time asked as he rose to his feet. "I'm very fond of that lad. What can we do to help him?"

" Father Time, have you ever heard any human stories. The best way to thaw a frozen heart is love. Fear had been able to freeze Jack's heart because that dear boy didn't understand. All he knew was that he is Jack Frost, assistant of Father Winter, but he didn't know how he had died. It's easy to manipulate a person if they don't know who they are."

Father Time nodded. "We should have listened to you way back then. If Father Winter and I weren't so against showing Jack his death, we wouldn't be having this conversation now. Father Winter would still be standing here, probably telling us not to be so worried."

"Winter was a dear friend. His life shall never be forgotten, but now we must take care of his child. Jack needs to know."

"What does he need to know?" I asked, quite curious in their conversation.

The two of them stared back at me, while the boys stared back at them. It was obvious that they couldn't hide their curiosity either.

With a sigh, Mother Nature nodded, gesturing for Father Time to speak. He nodded before saying, "the story you heard of Jack Frost is at most true. Jack was born during the winter, and was raised in a small village, but the people who raised him were not his parents."

"What do you mean? If those humans weren't his parents, then who were?" Marcus asked, sitting up in his seat.

Mother Nature smiled as she said, "I'm his mother, and Father Winter was his father. We were in love, but when Jack was born, Fear became jealous of the amazing power one infant held. In order to protect him, Father Time, Father Winter, and I stripped away his powers and turned him into a human. We prayed that if Jack were to be raised in a human family, Fear would leave him alone, and he would be safe."

"Instead, Fear had tried to kill Jack several times, until he eventually succeeded. Back then, Jack couldn't see us, but together, the three of us fought for Jack. As parents, neither Mother Nature nor Father Winter wanted to see their son die, and we returned his powers."

We couldn't believe it. Jack's parents have always been Father Winter and Mother Nature. Jack had been close to his parents the entire time, yet he never knew. He never knew how close he was to his father.

"We've never told him this, but it's about time for my son to learn the truth." Mother Nature walked back into Jack's room, and a few minutes later, came out again with Jack by her side.

My eyes lit up as they took in Jack's condition. He looks much better than he did earlier. He still had bags under his eyes, but other than that, he looks almost like himself. He didn't smile as he looked around, guilt hiding in his eyes.

"Jack, how do you feel?" I asked, walking over to him. I stopped just a few steps away from him, keeping a small distance between us. "Do you feel better now?"

He nodded and gave me a small smile. "I feel fine, Fawn. I actually feel better than I had in ages." I smiled at that, glad to see he was okay. Just then, he took hold of my hand and pulled me towards him. His arms wrapped themselves around my body in an embrace. His face was buried into my shoulder, almost as if he were going to cry. I couldn't help but blush as everyone stared. My arms hesitated before wrapping themselves around him.

"It's okay, Jack. It's okay to cry," I said as I felt tears sink into my clothes. I patted his back, waiting for him to calm down. He must have been scared. He may look like a seventeen year old, but he did die as a small child.
