Fawn's P.O.V.
After Jack had disappeared, some strange creatures appeared before us. They appeared to be shadow like creatures, the color of a frozen black. With Marcus down, I tried my best to protect him as I watched the others around me fight.
Ron's spear had broken in two when the monstrous creature tried to pound him. Instead of viewing it as useless, Ron had decided he had two weapons. He had tossed one side to me, telling me to keep the creatures away from Marcus.
I took the broken spear in my hands, feeling the cold sense of power it gave me. That's when I began to wonder, is this really why Jack gave us these spears? Are they not actually meant to throw? As I thought this, the spear in my hand began to glow a faint blue color before ice shot out of the sharp end. It froze several creatures, leaving the boys in a sense of awe.
"Fawn, how did you do that? You shouldn't have the power of any Frost." Shard blocked an attack from his opponent before calling out. "It would be really helpful to share some of Jack's power with us!"
That was Jack's power? I never thought that Jack would give us some of his power in case he would disappear. I guess this was a part of that plan he never told me about.
"Fawn!" Ron shouted. "How did you do it?! Tell us now!"
Looking up, I could see Ron being over powered by one of the creatures. Without thinking about it, I shouted. "When it's broken, point the sharp end at any enemy and it will know who to attack."
Just then, this battle had a huge turn around. Those nightmare creatures were frozen, shattering into several hundred pieces before being blown away by the wind. Jack had walked out from a frozen cave, turning once to see his power cover the entrance.
"Jack, is it over?" Shard asked, pointing his weapon down. "Is it all over?"
Jack nodded before saying, "Fear will no longer be a nuisance to this world. Let's go home. Mother Nature can remove those nightmares from Marcus's body."
With that, both Ron and Shard threw an arm over their necks and picked up the heavy boy. Jack's arms flew around my waist, lifting me up in the air with him. I grabbed a hold of his shoulders, knowing he wouldn't drop me this time. A peaceful smile was on his face, letting me know that everything was alright now. Nothing would go wrong anymore.
"Hey Jack, what's going to happen now?" I asked him, looking into his eyes. A smile came across my face as I stared at him, a desire to kiss him raced through me.
He shrugged, "we return things back to normal. Your parents, and everyone else in the village, should be fine now. You can return to Frost whenever you want to. Besides, you already know how to find me."
"Follow the direction of the snow." I hugged him, feeling as if this was goodbye. I didn't want to leave him, but if this is what has to happen, let it be. "If I go back, don't forget me. Okay? I won't forget you, so please."
"Fawn, I'll never forget you. Don't think of this as forever." He frowned as he said, "besides, I'm always going to come for you. No matter where you are, or who your with. You belong in Frost with me. "
