Dawn had slept in for weeks but , this morning she made me breakfast . the whole house smelled of bacon eggs and toast with butter and cinnamon. When she turned around from the counter a large stomach was seen . " babe ? " I asked . " yes love ? " she replied . " you're ?" I asked ." yes Alex I am pregnant ..." she trailed off as she set out plates on the table and sat down . when I sat down the room started to spin and all I could hear was her voice telling me that she was carrying my baby inside her .....

I woke up from the dream I was having , Dawn lay beside me peacefully sleeping I wrapped my arm around her and felt her stomach ....nothing ? I let out a sigh of relief , it was just a dream .

" Alex ?" Dawn whispered .

" yes ?" I answered .

" what are you doing ?" she asked gently .

" well, I'm feeling for our baby .." I said with a dumb tone.

She only laughed at my words and snuggles into my chest .we layed in bed until breakfast. When we went down for breakfast the pack simply went silent ,untill one of the pack members stood from the table and shouted .

" did you guys have fun last night ?!?!" and with that the room filled with laughter 

I nodded and walked Dawn over to our table and we ate our breakfast as everyone else carried on with their conversations.

When breakfast was over I went to my office to do more paperwork and make some calls to my parents . The day seemed long and tiring untill Dawn walked into my office ,hugging me from behind.   Silence filled the air , the good kind of silence . Dawn started to message my neck and kisses my cheek gently . I pulled her into my lap and kissed her lips . she smiled lightly as we continued to kiss each other . each kiss was more passionate than the last which made it hard to resist ripping off her clothes and giving her another night worth remembering .

Dawn sighed and rested her head in the crook of my neck ." I love you so much , I don't want you to be disappointed ..." She said shyly 

" why would I be disappointed ?" I asked with a concerned tone.

" I might not be able to give you a family , an heir to our kingdom .....I don't want to let you down if I can't carry your child ." she said almost in a whisper ,tears forming in her eyes.

" Babe ,in not going to be let down ... I won't let that happen , what's the harm in trying ...even if you can't give me a child .Dawn I will love you until I am  NO longer am able to. You're mine , and I'll do whatever it takes to be by your side and love you .  even if it means that we have to adopt we will have a child ......we aren't chase's parents but he is next for the position of alpha . " I said kissing her once more.

a light smile crossed her lips as she kissed back. She layer her face in the crook of my neck, I could feel her warm breath as she sighs.we stay like this for a while until Dawn had fallen asleep.

I carried Dawn to bed and climbed in shortly after leaving my work behind on my desk . I snuggled up to her and kissed her forehead. We slept until noon the next day.when,we got up there was a difference in Dawns aura she seemed like she was in a lot of pain .when we were getting dressed I noticed a small bump on Dawns stomach. I smiled happily , maybe trying really paid off ... I could really be a father and she would be a mother . " what is it Alex ? You're staring ." Dawn stated uneasily ." it's nothing babe ." I said and kisses her forehead . we finished getting dressed and headed down for lunch , most of the pack was out on runs or on watch the rest were in the commons and stared at Dawns stomach .Chase came over to our table and put his hand on her stomach ." why is your belly so bumpy ?" he asked Dawn ." what ,bumpy? " she said looking down .she suddenly walked out of the commons and I watched her cross the field and go into the hospital . the day seemed long without my mate , I had paperwork to do so I went on to work ..... Many hours had passed and I decided to go to our room , when I opened the door Dawn was nowhere in sight .
