Alex caressed me and the boy in his arms as we cried. It has been three days since we found Chase crying for his parents and all of the deceased pack members . Chase and I were crying into Alex as he hugged us ,Alex sat quietly and held us." Alex ." I cried " yes." he replied ." I'm tired,and hungry" I whined into his chest. " okay then let's go make something to eat and tuck this little man into bed ." Alex replied. Me and Alex went down to make food to eat after laying Chase into bed because he fell asleep crying and we didn't bother to wake him. Alex made pancakes with bacon and eggs . He sat the food in front of me and stated at my tear stained face ." hm?" I mumbled while stuffing my face with food." It's nothing." Alex replied still staring before getting himself a plate of food.

~ Alex's POV~

I watched Dawn eat , her tear stained face made me want to comfort her and shower her with kisses . she had been crying with Chase for. What seemed like she had been crying for weeks ,even though we had removed all of the deceased and burried them also giving them a proper burial.I can't imagine what seeing death must be like for dawn , I don't know what has happened in her past but, I do know if I bring up her family it brings tears to her eyes . I look over to dawn lost in her thoughts ." Dawn what are you thinking so deeply about ?" I ask cautiously." My family ,and this family of ours ." I just looked at her and saw tears in her eyes . Now that I remember it dawn was added to our pack a long time ago, My father said that she wasn't worthy to be seen seeing her condition . she was a small twelve year old girl ,she was afraid of everyone. I left for a trip when she arrived and came back to the day we met . before I met her my father died , my sister became rogue , and I was by myself in Antarctica. the trip was a important pack meating that my father never came back from and neither did my sister ,i was at least fifteen so I could take care of myself and waited at least eight years for them to come back but they didn't and I ended up coming here and looking for my mate. Clearly I found her and you know the rest from there.

I picked dawns empty plate up off the table ,along with mine and placed them in the sink."Dawn we both have a doctor's appointment tomarrow , so we will have to get a sitter for Chase." I said quietly trying not to wake the young boy in the room one floor above us." okay." Dawn mumbled in response before coming over and wrapping her arms around my waist . I turn around and pick her up carrying her back up to pur bedroom and placing her on the bed . she hadn't showered or really eaten anything in days . I started to take off her clothing and started the bath for her . when the tub was full of warm water I picked her up and placed her into the warm water .I looked her body over and saw many scars , some from me , some from the fights , and from her probably unforgiving past. I grabbed a wash cloth and put some of my axe body wash on it and started to lather it onto her body ." Alex ?" she tiredly said ." yes ?" I replied ." get in here with me I'm cold ." she mumbled . so I stripped down to my boxers and went to climb in to the bath with her ." No , take those off too,if I have to be naked so do you." she warily replied. I took off my boxers and climbed into the tub craddling her body with mine . she sat in my lap as I con tinued to lather the soap onto her skin. " your turn ." she sighed grabbing the washcloth and turning around . when she started to lather the body wash into my skin she whimpered . I knew that it was all the scars she left on me from our fight .I leaned in pressing my forehead to hers captivating her gorgeous green eyes with my deep blue ones .I wanted to say that I could take her scars any day head on ,but I just stared into her eyes . she stated back at me then turned her back to me. I heard her start to cry again." why are you crying ?" I whispered softly into her ear ." Because I - I love you, and I can't help to see the scars that I left behind." she said shyly . I didn't reply and just wrapped my arms around her caressing her until we got out of the tub and went to bed .she slept peacefully for the first time in weeks . I crawled out of bed and walked downstairs to the kitchen to get the surprise that I've been hiding for my special someone , for about a year now Dawn and I have been together and I love her deeply so I have a wonderful gift for her .
