"Why is he so hyper since this morning?" Ming's mom asked while curiously looking at his grandson who had been so jumpy as he munch into his lunch. "He just can't settle down."
"Because I'll be bringing him to Kit later." He answered as he put his spoon into his mouth.
"That boy?" A sad look uncovered in her eyes. "That poor boy suffered a lot, MingKwan."
"I know, Mom." He sighed and watched his kid who is eating his lunch with so much haste. "Easy buddy, you'll choke."
"But... but," the child tried to search for words in his young vocabulary. "I need to finish so I can see my angel."
"We'll not see him until later in the evening." Ming smiled.
"Is that when the sun goes to sleep?" He asked innocently using his messy hands to point in the air.
"Yes," he pinched his cheek. "So, eat slowly, okay?"
"Okay," he just simply smiled and continued with his meal.
"This boy," Ming's dad laughed. "He can't stop talking about his 'Guardian Angel' when Maya brought him home last night. I figured it was Kittinan."
"What, Granpop?" The boy stopped and looked at the man on the wheelchair.
"Nothing, my boy." He smiled sweetly at his only grandson.
"Son," he now talked to Ming. "Are you sure that you'll bring him along to Kit's?"
Ming just nodded. He can feel his parent's concern about the idea. And they are right to be concerned. They will not risk the only child who will bring the family name forward. See, Ming is the only son of the Daichapanya Family. His two older sisters each have one kid and both are girls. And even if they will have a son, it will be carrying a different surname.
But Kit needs to know, he deserves to know.
"If you think that is the right thing to do," his dad just sighed. "Then go on."
"Thanks, Dad." Ming smiled knowingly at him. "So, when should I go to the office?" He diverted the conversation.
"Don't worry about our Head Office here in Bangkok as of now," He's tone instantly morphed into business mode. "I can still manage it somehow."
"I thought that's the reason why you forced me to come back home." Ming wondered.
"It is," his Dad sipped his coffee. "But I would like you to take over in a gradual manner. You know, to help you adjust."
"Okay," he nodded but waited for his father to continue.
"So, for now," he looked at Ming with eagerness. "I would like you to focus on our Northern Office, we're having some troubles there. Our client investment is falling and finances are depleting in that branch. I am unable to go there and be hands on with it as traveling is not advised by my doctors. I need you to look into it and fix, if you still can, the problem. I don't want that office to shut down and lay-off people."
