Kit's heart lightened up for the past couple of hours they had been catching up. He definitely noticed that Ming held back crucial information regarding his life, which he can surprisingly understand. He thought he would be pissed as hell if Ming will not open up, but he realized that he didn't want to talk about it here either, this night is just too beautiful to ruin. He can ask on a different day.

They all laughed at how things worked out for them in the past decade, they even talked about how Ming pounded Tom to a pulp with a lighter tone. And for Kit, this is especially important, his release of Tom's lies is the catalyst of him regaining faith in himself, and he has Ming to thank for that. For the first time since Ming showed up, he feels comfortable having him around again. But Kit still can't help but glare at him everytime Ming sneaks his hand under the table to touch him. Sometimes, Ming succeeds as Kit can be so engrossed with the conversation that when he laughs, he can't notice Ming's wondering hands that could sometimes land on his knees, or worse, thighs. But he never missed on swatting the said hand, much to his satisfaction.

"Boss? You're here." Kit heard a voice coming from behind him. Then he saw an impeccably handsome young lad. Kit can't help but run his eyes on this man from head to toe. Kit's mind instantly worked on his mental checklist.

Hair: Brown, patted to the side, and perfectly groomed. Check.

Eyes: Dark, sparkly, and with slanting slope eyelids hinting his Chinese heritage. Check.

Nose and lips: Beautiful. Check.

Height: Way taller than me. Dammit. Check.

Fashion sense: Splendid. Even a simple white shirt and pair of jeans highlights his beauty. Check.

Kit felt something wrapping his heart, and it's not pleasant. He refused to admit it, he just can't accept it. But this kid is perfect. Fine, he concedes, he suddenly became insecure.

"Rich. Good to see you."

Oh, so it's Ming he's referring to. Kit raised an eyebrow when he saw Ming smiled sweetly at the newcomer, even standing up and moved close to the young man then shook his hand.

"Me too, Boss."

"Tsk. We're outside the company now. No need to call me that." Ming replied.

What's wrong if he calls you 'Boss'? Wanting to be close with him, huh? Is that it, Ming? Kit couldn't help but roll his eyes. Good thing his friends are preoccupied with the young man, so they didn't see him.

"I don't think I can get use to that." Kit heard the other man said. You better not. Then he glared at the unsuspecting man.

"Try." Something swelled inside Kit when he saw Ming flinging his arm on the man's shoulders. Is that necessary?
