"Oh, is he a new employee here?" Ming can hear a bunch of employees whispering as he walked on a corridor made of cubicles.

"Finally, someone handsome in this office." Another lady spoke with utter relief.

"Hey!" A protest coming from a man she's seating next to. "What do you mean by that? Are you blind or what? My way more handsome than him."

"I think," the woman looked at him with obvious confusion and fake concern. "You're the one who's blind, Win."

If Ming was still in college, he might have moved closer to listen on how they praise him but he's over that now. He outgrew that immature impulse that he had. He has more important things in mind; like where the hell is that Director's Office? He had been searching in circles, the people he asked can't seem to get out of their dreamy world upon seeing him. So, they gave him confusing information.

I'm starting to give up hope in humanity. Ming mentally sighed. He continued to traversed the confusing jumble of cubicles in that floor.

He looked at his watch, 9:09 AM. Shit. He can't help but curse. The meeting is nine o'clock. He pulled his phone again to dial the number of his POC.

"Mr. CEO, Sir." Someone called him from behind so he turned around and saw a handsome young man in black suit who's wheezing and holding unto his knees. "Good thing I found you."

"Yeah," Ming put his phone back in his pocket and smiled at the man. "I was just about to call you."

"I'm so sorry, Sir." The man stood straight but still catching his breath. "Anyway, let me introduce myself formally to you, Sir. I'm Ritthirong Boonyasak. But you can just call me 'Rich'. I'm your personal secretary. Please take good care of me, Sir MingKwan." He bowed into a formal wai after saying hi long litany.

"Hi, Rich." Ming smiled politely as he returned a superior wai to him. "Just call me 'Ming' if you want."

"I can't do that, Sir." He politely bowed as he scratched the back of his neck. "I'll maybe just call you 'Sir Ming' or 'Boss' instead."

"That's fine with me." Ming just smiled. "So, where should we go?"

"To the Conference Room, Sir." He smiled. "This way please." And he lead Ming out of that floor and hopped in an elevator and went to the seventh floor. Ming can only smile, this kid wouldn't stop talking. In just a couple of minutes inside the elevator he learned that he just newly graduated from college and that he was hoping to be regular employee here.

This kid will go places. He assured himself. I must save this office so he can fulfill his dreams.

"Here we are." He heard Rich announced when the elevator hit the seventh floor. "Follow me, Sir Ming."

They walked through another labyrinth of corridors made of work cubicles. And sure enough, people started to poke their heads out of their cubicles as Rich continue talking loudly about what Ming can get for lunch.
