Ming laid awake in his bed, staring at the ceiling of his room. He hasn't even bother to change into his sleeping robes. but he had been wanting to sleep, his body is extremely exhausted and his eyes feel sore. But his mind just won't let him be. He had been lying for the past hour, trying to convince his mind to shut the fuck up, but to no avail. All it has in it is Kit and Ynan, and what he'll do about them.

It's just past noon but he decided to go home in his rented house and get some rest, his body is just simply too exhausted and is in a verge of collapsing under the immense stress he had been going through for the past couple of weeks.

He wanted to get some sleep in his own house, not in his office. Rich needed to wake him up several times throughout the morning until he was convinced to by his secretary to actually go home. But when he arrived, his mind just roam around, wandering aimlessly. Maybe because his house is deserted and the deafening silence is maddening. No Ynan, no Aunt Song, and definitely no Kit.

And sleep is one of the best things he needed as he would definitely require a whole lot of energy to deal with Kit later. Ynan is still with the gang in Kit's house. He wondered if Kit went home already, he had been trying to contact him since this morning but he never picked up.

He checked his phone and saw Rich's name registered on the missed calls. 14 Missed Calls from him and 4 from an unknown number. How he didn't notice the calls is a puzzle for Ming, his brain must have zoned out into a void of eternal expanse.

Must be an emergency, he thought. So, he decided to dial the number instead of waiting.

It ringed just once before someone picked it up.

"Boss!" Rich's normally placid voice is now full of worry and horror in it. "Boss! I'd been trying to call you but you didn't answer!"

"Rich, calm down." He said while rubbing his stinging eyes. "Geez, what got into you?"

"Boss," Rich said, Ming can hear his heavy breathing in the other line. "P'Tom Boss, something bad happened."

"Rich," Ming tried to calm his secretary down by making his voice as placid as possible. "I need you to calm down and tell me what happened."

"Okay, okay, sorry Boss..." Rich took in a couple of deep breathes before continuing.

"Okay now?" Ming asked him.

"Yeah yeah." Rich now has a more calm voice. "P'Tom got away Boss."

"What?!" The table was turned for Ming. He now is starting to feel panic as he jolted up his bed. "How did it happen?"

"P'Tom struggled with the police while they were on their way to the station." Rich started the horrendous story.

Ming can feel Rich's words like oil fueling his burning heart. Cold chills run up his spine, making his flesh ache and numb. Ming stayed silent, waiting and anticipating for more horrid news. He slowly rose from his bed and sat on the side of his bed, holding unto his forehead.
