Kit's eyes had been following his older brother as Kaeng moved around the kitchen and tend to different boiling pots and pans all at once. He is leaning by the counter table, that is separating the kitchen from the living room, with a steaming cup of tea in his hand, giving his brother enough space to do his craft. He marveled with the fact that despite his brother's sharp movements, the kitchen remained orderly and neat.

Kaeng is just an extremely organized and efficient person, a trait Kit didn't inherit. He's probably the clumsiest of all the Intochar siblings. Given that he's the youngest of the boys, he used to be protected and sheltered by his older brothers, hence making him less active and more vulnerable. Kaeng had always been someone they can rely on. Him being the eldest, he looked after his family with great care and vigilance. However, he also had his rough years, he had been a very difficult teenager. He used to be their parent's bane, he was rebellious and evil to the core, or that's what they thought. But he suddenly changed when their father had an accident and was placed in life support for months, depleting their resources and the family faced bankruptcy. Kaeng managed to secure a government loan which they used for their father's hospitalization and to raise back the family into their feet. If not for him, Kit might have not able to finished his studies and just stopped altogether. If not for Kaeng, who by then was just twenty-four years old, life could have turned for the worst for Kit.

From that point on, Kit saw his brother made a 180° turn. He became a good son, a loving brother, a good father to his own children, a good husband, and a good provider.

But if there's one thing his brother didn't change, it is him being extremely enigmatic and secretive. Kit can bet, no one can torture his secrets out of him. He'll guard them with his own life and bring them to his very grave.

So, this might be a long shot --- but it's worth trying. He has a feeling that the past events has to do about him. He's part of this equation.

"Pee," Kit called his brother's attention.

"Hmm?" Kaeng answered but didn't give him a glimpse as he's preoccupied with a flaming pan that he skillfully works on.

"Why are you here?" Kit asked as he watch his brother's silhouette against the raging fire from the frying pan.

"Why," Kaeng said with a smile, still not giving him a glimpse. "You didn't want me here, Li'l Bro?"

"No," Kit laughed. "That's not what I meant, dumbass. It's too unusual that you'll just visit me here out of the blue."

"Why? Can't I do something reckless?" Kaeng turned his head temporarily towards his brother and gave him a wink before turning back.

"Seriously." Kit sounded more like begging than sarcastic.

"Just really wanna visit you." Kaeng placed the now extinguished pan back to the stove and turned to him while wiping his hands white a white cloth.
