Beam, Forth, and Moowan are now seating in a cozy cafe situated right across the road of the hospital after they left Ynan and Kit in the room. They wanted them to have a private talk, something that Ynan would need. Forth had been preoccupied looking at the design and architecture of the cafe, like he usually does.
"You're a real businessman and engineer, Forth." Moowan said as she smiled a bit.
"Yeah," Forth gave out a small laugh. "Just trying to get ideas for our cafe."
"I've heard from Kaeng that you're looking for investors for your company." She said, now looking at Beam. "And I'm looking for business partners. Can I invest on your company, Beam?"
"That would be a good idea." Beam said, nodding and approving. "But I hope the money is not from your Uncle."
"No," Moowan denied it with a small laugh, as if to signify that she's not offended. "Of course not. My Uncle's dead. And I didn't wanna involve myself on that organization either. I'm done with a fucked up life. This is clean money, don't worry."
Beam and Forth looked at each other, asking for nonverbal confirmation from one another. Then, they just nodded and looked back at Moowan with smile on their faces.
"You know what," she said with a hint of confusion in her voice. "I wonder how can you all be so kind. I mean, I am probably the worst person to trust at this very moment. Yet, you still give me the confidence I don't deserve."
"I dunno," Beam shrugged his shoulders. "You see, you were there for Ynan when we weren't. And Ming seems to trust you enough of his son. So, I think you're no longer a bad person. Or you could have got back with Ming all the way back in the US."
"Yeah," she said, lowering her eyes and smiling to herself. "Thank you."
"Moowan," Beam said as he sipped on his steaming cup of coffee. He hesitated to ask the dreadful question, he's not quiet certain if he's prepared for the answer. "What is Ynan's prognosis?"
"Not good, to be completely honest." Moowan said with a sad but honest voice. She unconsciously stirred her coffee for no reason. "But I had everything ready for him."
