During the past few weeks, they didn't spoke to each other. Sometimes they saw each other at Granny's or in the harbour, but there was never a real conversation. Although they weren't really divorced, it felt like that sometimes.Killian entered Granny's in the early morning. He was hoping to catch up with Emma, but he was the only one there. He just ordered his coffee to go when Neal walked in. The atmosphere changed to an uncomfortable mode. Neal walked over to him and sat down next to Killian to place his order. 'Enjoying my wife?' Killian sniffed. Neal turned his head to him. 'Well, in fact... yes I am! I'm getting her some coffee and guess what... we have a date tonight!' he grinned. Killian felt his blood boiling.
When he counted to ten in his head to keep himself together, Emma came in to check on Neal. She froze when her eyes met Killians. He smiled to her. He has a smile that could move mountains. She stared at him for a while. His eyes were so bright. They literally look like the ocean themselves.
'Two coffee for the handsome pirate!' the waitress said with a big smile, interrupting the moment of silence between them. Killian smiled. 'Thank you, milady' he said as charming as he is. Emma was confused. Why did he order two coffee?
Killian stood up and smiled one last time. 'Enjoy your evening, Swan' he said as he walked away. Her head was spinning from all the new information. She turned back to Neal. 'Enjoying my evening? What's going on?'. Neal took her hand. 'Nothing. I thought you could use some distraction, so... maybe we can go out tonight?' he asked with his puppy eyes. She smiled. 'I guess you're right. I can definitely use some distraction'. He wrapped his arm around her and they walked outside with their coffees while Killian was standing around the corner, watching them.
Killian watched them for a while, but felt an awful pain in his chest. He was always a bit jealous but seeing her with someone else made him feel terrible. He threw one of the coffees in the bin. The one he was intend to bring to Emma...

Emma discarded one outfit after another, searching for the best looking one. Not that she had much to choose from because she hadn't bought anything new since she paused things with Killian. Emma sat down on her bed and buried her face into her palms. She told herself to stop thinking about him, but she still does and she couldn't stop it. Finally she settled on a red dress, which showed off her neckline. She added some jewelry and slipped on a pair of high heels.
'You look nice, Emma' said Neal while he poised in the doorway. He was wearing his favorite jeans with a black blazer over a white button-down shirt. Her thoughts went to Killian again which made her smile this time. He never said she looked nice, she was stunning to him.
