Chapter 21 ✰ Operation Missing Pirate

He woke up completely covered in sweat. He felt the hard stone ground he had been dumped on. 'Where am I?' Killian whispered while he was searching his memory for some clues.

'I had been walking home to talk to Emma and then everything went black...' he tried to get the pieces together. Maybe it was his irrational thinking or he drank to much rum last night, but he started to panick. He sat down on the floor and he had still no idea where he is and what is going on.

Killian tried to look around, but couldn't see much. The smell in the room was horrible. He stood up again and tried to touch things with his hand. It was a small room with a mattress, a sink and a toilet.

He sighed and sat down again.

Emma ordered the usual at Granny's and sat down next to Henry. A few moments later Snow and David joined them for dinner. David's face was serious which made Emma feel a bit uncomfortable. 'What's going on, dad?' she asked after an awkward moment of staring to each other.

'It's been a while since we saw you with... Hook...' Snow started. Emma sighed and rolled her eyes. 'Not this again!'. 'We want you to know that we'll always be there for you, even if you decide to...' Snow said while taking her hand. 'If I decide to do what?' Emma snared. 'To divorce' said David to complete Snow's sentence.

Tears welled up in Emma's eyes. 'I need to take some air...' she stood up and ran outside. While she closed the door she bumped into Milah. 'I.... I'm sorry...' she stuttered upset. 'What's wrong?' Milah asked worried.

'Hook... Killian... I ruined everything last night!' she cried. Milah look confused. 'I don't get it. Killian left early this morning to talk to you. I guess that didn't end up well?' Now Emma was the one who looked confused. 'Talk to me? I haven't seen him today and despite that I think he won't talk to me after what happened.'

Milah shook her head. 'No, I told him the truth and he couldn't wait to tell you!'.

'The truth about what?' Emma asked.

Milah sighed. 'About my return. He was really upset last night and... we kissed but he couldn't. It made him more upset than he already was so I had to tell him.'

'Tell him what?! Wait.... you kissed him?!'

'There are troubles between the underworld and the so called heaven. Zeus is threatened by someone and it allows some people to come back to where they came from. Neal was one of them, but so am I.'

'I know. Neal told me' Emma said a bit annoyed.

'But it isn't the whole story, Emma. Zeus gave him, us, a mission. He sent us here with the mission to break you and Killian apart. If we succeed it allows us to stay down here, but I couldn't do it anymore. I can't hurt Killian.'

Emma shook her head. 'So Neal... Neal is playing an act?'

Milah nodded. 'Yes and I think he has something to do with Killian's disappearing.'

'I can't believe I trusted him over Killian. He always sees the best in me and I treated him as trash.' Tears welled up in her eyes again, but it felt different this time. Everything felt different since that night. It felt like she wasn't speaking or feeling with her heart. Even the fact that Milah kissed Killian, her husband, didn't do much with her. She have to figure out what happened that night.

'Operation missing pirate' Henry said while he walked over to Emma and Milah. 'Were you spying on us?' Emma asked. Henry nodded. 'I'm sorry mom. You seemed so upset and I want you to be okay.'

'You're the best kid in the world.'

'It's all in the genes' he said laughing. Emma smiled and hugged him. 'Are you okay, mom? We're going to find him! He can't leave us and he can't leave you. We are a family and you are the savior. We will fix this!'

'We will! But we need to eat something first. Let's go inside. Milah will join us, so the two of you can get to know each other!'

Henry smiled. 'Now I have three grandma's!'

They all laughed while walking back into Granny's.

So this chapter ended up a bit short and boring. More action is coming soon! ;)
