Come A Little Bit Closer ( Spock Love Story)

I finished putting in my earrings and looked at myself in the mirror. Was this too much? Should I change into a different dress? Should I wear the heels or maybe flats? All of these questions were racing through my mind because to be honest I have never been on a date before. I have always been so caught up in my work and nobody ever really took interest in me. I have fantasied what a real date would be like and I hope I am not over imagining it.

I look over at the clock and it is 5:50. I messed with my hair a little more and added my favorite lipstick and made my way to the observatory. The whole walk there I couldn't help but think what to expect. What is it going to look like? Did Spock do this by himself? Has Spock ever been on a date? He never mentioned it to me all the years we have known each other. I finally reached the observatory and slowly opened the door. Spock was by the large windows and turned around when I came through the door. He looked so handsome dressed in a suit and tie. I stood there a little starstruck. I had no words.

Spock looked at me a little worried," Do you not like it? Jim helped me set this up. I am sorry if this upset you." I just laughed and he looked a little confused. "No Spock, I love it. I was just at a loss for words because this is just so....extrarodinary." I smiled as I walked towards him.

"Well then I am glad you love it," He smiled slightly. When I was by his side I held out my fingers waiting for him to give me a Vulcan kiss. He held his fingers against mine and blushed. He broke the kiss and we walked over to the dinner he had set out.

" I remember that your favorite Disney film is Lady and the Tramp so I thought it was only appropriate to make an Italian dinner." He said pulling my chair back for me. " You made this yourself?" " I did. My mother thought it was important for me to learn how to cook and I am glad she did."  This Vulcan never ceases to amaze me. After some small talk we finished our meal and some of the red wine he had set out.

We stood next to each other over looking deep space, enjoying the moment. You would think we would be sick of watching what we are constantly surrounded by, but this felt different. Out of nowhere the song Dancing in the Moonlight by King Harvest came on over the speakers. I looked at Spock with a smile on my face waiting for him to explain.

" I know you have a love for classical music so I thought this song would fit our current situation," Spock nodded towards the beautiful moons that we were passing in an unknown galaxy. He turned to me, " May I have this dance?" He held out his hand, "Of course" I said gladly taking his offer. We began to dance to the music and he was a very good dancer.

" We did you learn how to dance?" I laughed looking into his eyes.

" An hour ago. Jim told me it was an intimate thing humans like to do when they enjoy each others company." He said while we swayed to the music. "Well he isn't wrong." I said with a smirk as he extended his hand allowing me to spin around. I couldn't help but smile and returned to his strong arms. When I looked up at him I noticed he had a smile on his face. That only caused me to smile more knowing how happy he was.

As the song came to a close we slowly stopped dancing and Spock took his hands in mine. "Lauryn there is something I must ask you." "Anything, Spock," I smiled looking in his eyes. They showed so much love and affection even when the rest of him didn't show it.

"Lauryn, I knew there was something special about you ever since we met back at the Starfleet Academy. You make me feel emotions I have never truly felt before. A part of me doesn't know what I would do without you which seems illogical, but this is what feels right. I know we have only been together for a few months, but we have friends for much longer. Lauryn will you be my bondmate for life and marry me?" He said as he got down on one knee with the most beautiful ring.

I couldn't believe this was happening. I mean I have always dreamt of getting married on day like any little girl, but I never imagined it to be so soon. Though I would not have it any other way. " Yes. Of course I will marry you" I could barely get the words out and Spock place the ring on my finger. He stood up and hugged me. He actually hugged me first. Once we pulled away I kissed him with so much love and passion. At first he froze, then melted into the kiss. We only broke apart to breathe.

" I love you th'y'la." "I love you too Spock". Right now was the best moment of my life. I felt like I was on cloud 9 and it was the best feeling ever. I wished I could just hold on to the moment forever until Spock spoke up, "My th'y'la would you accompany me to my quarters?" I he said with a slight smirk. " I would love to." He took his hand in mine and we walked back to his quarters. Once we made it into his room, he locked the door behind us and I knew this was going to be fun ;)
