Dinner consisted of sausages in bread with some potatoes and carrots. I helped set up the bonfire, moving the heavy pieces of wood to sit down on, and Adam light the fire for us. Adam could control the elements so his power came in handy quite a lot. We all sat around the campfire laughing and enjoying ourselves with hot chocolates in our hands that Hugh and Millard had kindly made us all. I sat next to Will and Jake, who had Emma wrapped up in his arms. They were adorable! I looked over to Enoch who had his fingers laced with Olive's. Adam started to tell a story of when him and Sam were faced with three hollows and everyone was so intrigued, except for me. I'd heard this story before from dad so I took the time to start thinking about a plan that had popped into my head during dinner.
"You've got your thinking face on. When you have your thinking face it usually isn't too good." Will whispered in my ear. He laughed and I smacked his arm lightly.
"Can we go for a quick walk?" I whispered back. He nodded and grabbed my hand, we walked in comfortable silence for a few minutes, arriving at a small pond and we both sat on a log.
"I went to your house to get you some stuff." Will said, breaking the silence.
"Was she...I mean did she..."
"She didn't make it. I went to the hospital to make sure. You've been missing for a day now and they've put you on the suspects list." I put my head in my hands and Will draped an arm around my shoulder.
"I can't go back can I?"
"Probably not the best idea right now." I looked up at him and gave a soft smile.
"I have an idea."
"Does it relate to what we were just talking about?"
"Sort of, but I need your help and I need Jakes help as well."
"My help? How kind of you." I laughed and playfully punched his arm.
"I'm being serious, what I'm about to tell you, you can't tell anyone else okay?"
"Okay."

We walked back to the bonfire and slipped back into our seats. I tapped Jake on his shoulder and he smiled at me.
"I need your map of all the loops." I whispered to him.
"Why?" He asked, looking concerned. I then proceeded to tell him my plan and he smiled.
"Okay yeah that's fine with me." I smiled and thanked him, just as Miss Peregrine announced it was time to get ready for bed. I helped tidy the bonfire site up and Adam told me that both him and Will were gonna stay the night. When everyone was walking back inside, I walked with Will behind the group.
"I'm gonna do it tonight."
Everyone was going to bed. There was a soft knock on my door and William walked in, dressed in his pyjamas.
"Do you want me to cover for you or anything?"
"No, I think the surprise will be a good enough excuse." I replied.
"I have a surprise for you." Was Will blushing? He seemed to be nervous and kept looking down at his hands. He walked closer to me and told me to close my eyes so I did. I was expecting for him to place something in my hands, but instead something soft pressed against my lips. Will? Just as soon as it was there, it left and I opened up my eyes to see Will with a red face.
"What was that for?" I tried to hide my smile.
"I've liked you since we were kids. I think it was when we got your cat to marry us then you pushed me in the mud." I laughed.
"I remember that." I kissed his cheek and wished him a goodnight. He wrapped me in a hug and I instantly felt safe.
"Goodnight Will."
"Night Mace." He kissed my head and left my room. I looked down at the map that rested on my bed and sighed. Did I really want to do this? I had to. It would be better for everyone.
