Chapter 11 •Courage•

Annie's POV

Lexi and I are currently in the bathroom. She is comforting me.

"Annie it's going to be okay." Lexi said.

"No it isn't. I shouldn't of told him that I liked him." I said.

"Annie it's good that you told him. It shows that you have courage." She said.

"I don't know."  I said shrugging.

"Let's go back to the squad." She said.

"I can't do that." I shook my head.

"Yes you can and you won't be by yourself. I'll be with you." She said.

"Fine." I said opening the door.

We walked out and started walking towards our table. I saw Hayden talking to the squad.

"Lexi can we please sit somewhere else?" I asked.

"Fine. Go find a table and I'll tell them that we're not sitting with them." Lexi said.

I found a table and sat down. I looked up to see Hayden looking at me. I quickly looked down and waited for Lexi to come. She finally came and we started talking.

"Everyone wants to know what's going on." She said.

"I don't want to talk about what happened for the rest of the day." I said.

"Well good luck on avoiding it." She said.                                                                                               __________________________

Hayden's POV

I'm a mess. I still can't believe that Annie likes me. We still haven't talked since earlier at lunch. You would probably expect Annie to only be afraid to talk to me, but the truth is, I'm afraid too.

''Hayden you have to talk to her.'' Johnny said.

Him and Lexi are the only ones who know about what happened. Johnny is now at my house giving me ''advice.''

''I know.'' I said sighing.

''I knew this whole time that you two liked each other.'' He said.

''She probably doesn't like me anymore. I messed up big time.'' I said.

''Hayden I doubt that she moved on that fast. You need to tell her your feelings before it's too late.''

''She deserves someone better than me.'' I responded.

''Hayden you're a great person. I know you messed up but don't say things like that." He said.

I looked at the time and saw that it was 5:37pm

"Johnny I'm going to the park." I said.

"Can I come?" He asked.

"No I'm meeting up with someone." I answered.

"Who?"

"Just a friend. You can walk home right?" I asked.

"Yeah....I guess?" He said getting up.

"Well I'll see you tomorrow bye." I ran out of my house and rode my skateboard to the park.

I saw Jayden sitting down on a bench and I walked over to her.

"Hey Hayden." She said smiling.

"Hey." I smiled back.

"So why'd you want to meet me here?" She asked.
