Chapter 15 •We're Dating•

Annie's POV

I ran outside crying and threw my goggles on the floor. I sat down on a chair and I heard the door open and I saw Johnny standing there. He closed the door and sat next to me.

"You okay?" He asked.

I shook my head slowly.

"Annie it's going to be okay." He said.

"Is it? Hayden and Jayden like each other and now they're dating." I said.

"They'll probably date for like a week and then figure out that it's better to be friends." He explained.

"I doubt it."

"Annie you don't have to cry over him. Look I'll talk to him tomorrow and see what's really going on." He said.

"Johnny you don't have to do anything. Hayden and I always have problems these days and I can't handle it anymore. Maybe we just shouldn't be friends." I said.

"Annie pl-"

"I meant what I said. Now go inside and enjoy the party. I'll just go home now." I said getting up and picking up my goggles.

I walked inside and there was a lot more people. I saw the squad looking at me. Jayden came up to me and gave me a hug. I pushed her off.

"Jayden I don't want a hug from you so if you could give me my space I would really appreciate it." I said walking away.

She looked hurt and I kinda felt bad but I brushed it off and walked home.

I saw everyone sitting down on the couch watching a movie.

"Annie?" My mom said.

"Why are you back so soon?" My dad asked.

"Are you okay? You look like you've been crying." Hayley said.

I walked over to the couch and grabbed Josie by the arm and dragged her to my room. I locked the door and sat in the bed and started crying.

"What happened tonight?" She said putting her arm around me.

I finally caught my breath and started talking.

"Hayden and Jayden happened." I said.

"What about them?" She asked.

"They're dating." I said.

"They're what!?"

"They're dating Josie. I told you they liked each other." I said.

"May-" She started.

"I've had enough with maybe this and maybe that. They're dating and I can't do anything to change that."

"So what are you going to do now?" She asked.

"Nothing. I'm going to let them date." I said.

"Okay." She said.

"I also decided not to be friends with them anymore." I explained.

"Wait what!?" She said shocked.

"I'm done with all of this drama. I need a drama-free life and in order to live that life is to not be friends with them" I explained.

"Annie it's your decision. Just think about it please." She said.

"Fine." I said.

"I need to go trick or treating now. Will you be okay by yourself?" She asked.

I nodded and smiled. I went on my laptop and watched YouTube videos.

Hayden's POV

"Hayden open this door right now!" Dylan said.

"Go away!" I yelled.

I heard the doorknob shake. Please don't have a key. The doorknob turned and the door opened. There stood a worried Dylan.

"What happened this time?" He said.

"Nothing. Now please evacuate the premises." I said.

"Hayden I know you've been crying. And I also know that it has something to do with Annie." He said crossing his arms.

"Fine I'll tell you. Come in and close the door." I said.

He did as I said and sat down on the end of my bed.

"So Jayden and I are kinda dating."

"Wait what!?" He said.

"She asked me out."

"I thought you liked Annie." He said.

"I do. But Jayden...I couldn't say no to her." I explained.

"So Annie knows that you two are dating?" He asked.

I nodded.

"And what did she do when she find out?" He asked.

"She ran away crying...."

"Hayden you need to tell her your feelings." He said.

"What about Jayden?" I asked.

"I don't think you two are going to work out." He said.

"I'm not breaking up with her. Maybe this could work out." I explained.

"What about Annie?" He asked.

"She's not going to forgive me Dylan." I said.

"Just think about it." He said.

"Dylan I'm not gonna think about anything! Maybe we just weren't meant to be friends!" I yelled.

"Hayden do-"

"Get out." I said.

"Fine! I was just trying to help." He said getting up.

"You don't even have a girlfriend so don't act like some love expert!"

"Actually Hayden I do and her name is Brec. Maybe if you would care about other people's lives and not make mistakes in yours you would know!" He said and slammed the door.

"Ugh!" I said throwing a pillow.

Annie's POV

"Ugh!" I said throwing a pillow.

Caleb just came in here trying to give me "advice." Let's just say it ended in us shouting at each other.

I laid down, closed my eyes, and fell asleep.
