Chapter 12 •The Video•

Annie's POV

"Bye guys!" I said to my family.

"Bye Annie!" They all replied.

I closed the door and started to walk school. Across the street, I saw Hayden and Jayden walking together. They noticed me looking at them and I ignored them.

I finally arrived at school and went to my locker. I remembered that Hayden and I's lockers are next to each other. I tried to get my books as fast as I could until I dropped all of them. I bent down and started to pick them up.

"Hey let me help you." Someone said.

I looked up to see Hayden.

"No it's fine I got it." I said.

"Annie I'm helping you wether you like it or not." Hayden said helping me.

"Thanks." I said slightly smiling.

"No problem." He said smiling.

I got all the books I needed and closed my locker.

"So I saw you walking to school today." Hayden said.

I nodded.

"You could not believe what Johnny and Lexi did yesterday." He said.

I looked at him confused.

"So yesterday I was at the park wi-" He suddenly stopped talking.

"Go on..."

"Uh never mind it doesn't matter." He said.

I nodded and there was a long silence.

"Well I'm gonna go to class." I said starting to walk away.

"Wait Annie. I think we need to talk." Hayden said quietly.

I turned around.

"Well I guess I'll do the talking cause I need to tell you something." He said nervously.

That made me nervous. What was he gonna say?

"Well the first thing I need to say is that I'm sorry. I shouldn't of overreacted and pressured you yesterday." He said.

"Hayden it's fine really. You didn't do anything wrong." I said.

"Is there anything else?" I asked.

"Yeah..I...um.."

"Keep going..." I said getting impatient.

"Ok I'll just say it. Annie I re-" The bell rang.

Of course.

"I need to go to class. You can tell me later I guess." I said.

"Yeah of course." He said.

"Well bye." I said walking away.

That whole conversation was weird. We're cool now but it doesn't feel the same. I just kept thinking about what Hayden had to tell me.

"Annie Leblanc?" Mr Taylor asked.

"Pardon me?" I asked.

"We are going to a museum and afterwards we are watching a movie about dinosaurs (why not?)" He said.

It's better then coming here to do work.

"Yeah that sounds like fun." I lied.

It really sounded boring but at least I get a day off from school.

"It's also mandatory and for the whole grade." He explained.

"Oh and class it's going to be like a 2 hour bus drive so tomorrow please tell me or Mrs Brown who you want to sit with and we will try to have you all sit with your friends." He said smiling.
