Chapter 19 •The Party•

Josie's POV

We dropped Annie off and drove down the street. Since Hayden lives really close to Dylan and Caden, I parked my car in front of his house. Jayden and I got out and quietly walked to Dylan and Caden's house.

I saw Annie sitting down on the bench in front of their house. She was looking at her phone. Since her back was turned to us, Jayden and I quietly opened the gate and made our way to the back door. We quietly knocked on the door and Dylan answered.

We walked inside and saw all of the decorations.

"Everything looks great!" I said.

"Yeah we've been working on it all day." Dylan said.

"Annie's out there waiting for someone to answer." Jayden said.

"Yeah I heard her ring the doorbell. I've just been waiting for Hayden to come." Dylan said.

"He's here!" Brooke said looking out of the window.

"Okay everyone in their places!" Caden said going behind the kitchen counter.

Annie's POV

I'm sitting down on the bench waiting for Dylan or someone to answer. I don't know what's taking them so long to answer the door.

A car drove up and Hayden came out and walked up the steps.

"Hey." I said.

"Hi. What are you doing sitting here?" He asked.

"Well I tried knocking but no one answered so I sat down here." I explained.

"Oh. So they invited you here too?" He asked.

"Well Dylan invited me to go to dinner." I said.

"That's weird. Caden invited me to hang out here." He said.

I gave him a confused look.

"Wait a minute. The door is open." He said pointing over to the door.

We walked over and opened the door.

"Why are all the lights o-" I started.

"SURPRISE!" Everyone shouted.

The lights turned on and there were decorations everywhere.

"What's going on?" I asked.

"We threw you a surprise party!" Jayden said walking over to me.

"Who's idea was this?" Hayden asked.

"Jayden's!" Everyone yelled.

"Thanks Jay." I said giving her a hug.

"Yeah thanks." Hayden said.

"No problem. Let the party begin!" Jayden yelled.

Then music was put on.

Hayden's POV

I looked over to Annie dancing with Kenzie. She looked really happy and that made me smile.

"Hayden? Are you there?" Jayden asked waving her hand in my face.

"Yeah?" I asked still looking at Annie.
