(Y/N)'s POV
"So, what experiment should we do for our project?" I asked Laurance as I took out a notebook from my backpack to take notes.
I was sitting on my bed, and he was sitting on the chair by my desk.
"Hm." He thought for a moment. "How about something simple?"
"Okay." I wrote something down on the paper, then handed it to Laurance. "How about this?"
Question: How many droplets of water will fit on a penny.
Hypothesis:
Laurance grinned at me. "Simple enough. How many do you think are gonna fit?"
"Um," I shrugged. "Maybe 20? Or something. I have no idea Laurance. That's why we we're doing this, to find out."
"Right." Laurance wrote down the number 20 on the paper.
"Okay. So. We have our idea now. So, I'll go to the store tomorrow after school to get everything we need. And then we can do the experiment the day after?"
I nodded. "Then we take the weekend off and work on the project Monday."
He looked at me. "You wanna skip three days? What ever happened to you wanting to finish it as soon as possible?"
"Uh, I was invited to a sleepover." I shrugged. "It's on Friday, through Saturday. I wanna use Sunday as a day to get the rest of my homework done."
"Who's sleepover?" Laurance raised his right eyebrow.
"Aphmau's." I said. "You know her, right? I've seen you two around school."
He blushed a little. "Yeah, I know her."
I quickly noticed the pink on his cheeks and laughed. "You have a crush on a freshman!"
"What? No!" Laurance frowned and looked away. "Nobody likes those fucking freshman anyway."
"We were freshman last year, remember?" I rolled my eyes. "Not all freshmen are bad. Aphmau isn't one of the bad ones. She isn't disrespectful. She's actually really nice."
"Y-yeah. I know." Laurance sighed.
"It's cool if you like her. I mean, it's not really a bad thing." I looked at him. "I'm surprised though. Didn't think she was your type."
"Uh, well. Doesn't matter anyway." He frowned and looked at me. "Garroth likes her too."
"Oof. That's gotta be tough. He's your best friend." I sighed. "Does he know you like her?"
Laurance shook his head. "No, of course not."
"Have you made a move on her?"
"No. Not yet, at least."
"Not yet?" My eyes widened. "You'd betray Garroth like that?"
"W-well-"
I cut Laurance off. "Piece of advice. Don't do that. Do not ruin your friendship with your best friend. Not only would it effect both of you, it'd affect Aphmau too. She'd think it was her fault."
Laurance looked shocked. "Have you been in that situation?"
"Uh, no. I've never- no. I just pay attention to things. I'm very observant with what goes on around school. I've seen what happens with those type of things." I sighed.
"So, you're a stalker?"
"N-no! It's just a habit I've picked up after hanging around myself for a long time." I frowned. I didn't think he'd take it that way.
"You don't have any friends?" Laurance looked at me, sympatheticly?
"Not really. I mean, I guess Aphmau's my friend. But I only just met her this year." I said.
"Well, you can hang out with me if you want." Laurance smiled. "We can be friends."
"Really?" I laughed a little. "The Casanova of Phoenix Drop High wants to be my friend?"
"Why do people call me that?!" Laurance looked frustrated.
"Because you are one..?" I eyes him. "I've literally seen you flirt with everyone."
"Yeah, but that's because i'm expected to." Laurance frowned. "I want what everyone else wants. A stable relationship with someone I love dearly and can be my total complete self with."
I was honestly shocked. "You'll find that someone. Maybe not today, maybe not soon. Maybe you've already met her. But she'll come."
He smiled at me, and I returned the favor.
"Thanks for not swooning over me or anything and actually talking to me like a real human being." Said Laurance.
I shrugged. "I don't understand why everyone's crazy for you anyway."
He furrowed his brows together. "Are you saying I'm not attractive?"
"You're definitely attractive. Otherwise you wouldn't be popular. I'm saying I don't understand how people go crazy over anyone. Like, yeah they can be attractive, but alot of the time that's all the person is. A pretty face."
"Am I just a pretty face?"
"I thought you were." I admitted. "But you've proven me wrong."
"So, friends?" He gave me a hopeful look.
"Friends." I smiled.
A/N!
This one's a little shorter! I apologize! I just don't know what else to do with this chapter.
QOTC: Out of all the voice actors for Aphmau, who's your favorite?
AOTC: Sebastian Todd is definitely my favorite! Not only because Laurance is my all time favorite character, but he's in total a great voice actor. I've watched alot of his work and its incredible!
Nooow. See you in the next chapter! Bye~
