Dante's POV

I rolled my eyes as I watched both Laurance and (Y/n) glance at each other from across the classroom. It was so unbelievably obvious that they had a thing for each other. Why couldn't Laurance just make a move already?

Seriously, Laurance is one of the most popular guys at school. And there's no questioning why. He has the good looks, the nice voice and is captain of the soccer team. He knows for a fact that every girl at Phoenix Drop dreams of being in his arms so why doesn't he just do it?

Then again, I've noticed that (Y/n) is very different from every other girl at Phoenix Drop. She didn't show an interest in Laurance up until awhile. She's the type of girl who likes to get to know guys first, I guess. That could only mean (Y/n) and Laurance have had their moments.

Hmmm. Well, I am the master of anything and everything about love. Maybe I could get them together.

A smile crept on my face as I came up with the perfect plan. I'll pretend to be interested in (Y/n) until Laurance becomes jealous and confesses to her. Considering the plan goes well, they'll be together soon.

As soon as the bell rang, I sped walk up to (Y/n)'s desk. She was putting her books into her school bag. "Hey, (Y/n)."

She looked up at me and then continued to put her stuff away. "Hi, Dante. Do you need something?"

"Actu-" I was cut off by Laurance.

"Hey, (Y/n). Hey, Dante." Laurance looked at me curiously. Probably wondering why I was talking to (Y/n).

(Y/n) finished with her stuff and swung her bag over her shoulders. She looked up at Laurance and smiled. "Hey." Then she looked at me. "Dante, you were trying to say something?"

"Yeah, I actually wanted to invite you to dinner. I know the most romantic place in town." I smirked at her. "What do you say?"

(Y/n) gave me a blank stare, then gave me a surprised look when she realized I was serious. I could hear Laurance growling from behind me.

"Oh! Uhm. Sorry, Dante. But I actually have alot of homework to do ALL WEEK." She nervously laughed. "But maybe some other time."

"Oh, no problem! I'll just take a rain check." I grabbed her hand and gave the top of it a kiss. Then looked over at Laurance. "I'll catch you guys later."

(Y/n)'s POV

I watch as Dante leaves the classroom.

I look at Laurance, who's clenching his fists together. "What the hell was that about?"

Laurance took a deep breath, then looked at me. "I don't know. I thought Dante was after this one junior chick but I guess not."

I shrugged. "Well, he better go back to her because I'm not interested."

Laurance's whole body seemed to relaxed. "Oh, so you don't actually have alot of homework all week?"

I laughed. "Of course not. I mean, I do have homework. But not enough to the point where I can't have a social life."

Laurance held the door for me as I walked out of the classroom and into the hallway. "Thanks."

He smiled. "Anything for a lady."

"So, Laurance. King of the school. Most popular boy at Phoenix Drop. How's your social life going?"

Laurance chuckled. "I'd say the title 'King of the school' belongs to Garroth, not me."

"Well, stereotypically, he is more charming. With his blonde hair and blue eyes and all. And he definitely is slightly more popular than you are." I smirked.

"You know just how to offend me, don't you?" Laurance grinned.

"Yes. But I'd choose you over Garroth any day." I blushed as I said this.

"Really?" Laurance raised his left eyebrow, showing a sign of curiosity. "And why's that?"

I shrugged. "I like your personality better. And your hair looks alot softer than his does. And I'm already close to you so I mean."

By now, Laurance was blushing madly. His face was as red as a tomato. I guess I said something wrong or something. I was still new at this whole social stuff and didn't exactly know how to talk to people very well yet. "Uh, sorry."

Laurance shook his head. "You don't have to apologize. It's not like you said anything wrong."

"Oh, okay."

"So, I have soccer practice. I better get going. I'll see you later?"

"Definitely." I smile at him as he waves and walks to the direction of the soccer field outside.

Laurance's POV

Ugh. She was so perfect. From her facial features to her personality. I liked everything about her. But I didn't want to tell her yet. I felt like it was too early. I mean, yeah it's been months but still. Maybe I'm afraid of rejection? I think so. (Y/n)'s the only girl who's ever made me even think twice about asking a girl out for the fear of rejection. It was the first time I've ever experienced this and I didn't like it. It was scary.

I sigh as I walk onto the soccer field.
