(Y/n)' POV
I woke up with a massive headache.
Jesus christ, how much did I drink last night?
Then I thought about the party. I didn't even remember much of it. The last thing I remembered was going to get another drink and then seeing Gene. The fact that the last person I was with was Gene made me pretty fucking suspicious.
I look over at my nightstand and see that there's a paper on it. I grab it and open my window for light. Once my eyes were able to adjust to the light, I read:
Hey, (Y/n). I had to bring you home from the party early. Something serious happened. I'll come over tomorrow and let you know. You won't be able to remember. I'm sorry.
~laurence
I immediately began panicking. Something had happened at the party and I couldn't even remember it. Did Gene do something?
I grab my phone from the nightstand and head downstairs for breakfast.
My dad was already back from work and asleep.
I sigh as I decide on just eating cereal. I texted Laurence, asking him when he was going to come over.
Twenty minutes later, there was a knock on the door.
I went to open it. "God damnit Laurence, you could've let me know when you were coming. I would've at least brushed my hair."
Laurence smiled a little. "Your hair looks fine, (Y/n)."
"I don't think so. But okay."
I close the door behind him as he walks inside.
"So, do you wanna go to my room to talk?" I ask.
He nods. He looked a little distant.
We walked upstairs and up to my room. I sat on the floor by my bed, and he decided to sit next to me.
"What happened yesterday?" My voice was shaky.
"Gene-"
"God, I knew it. Talking to Gene is the last thing i'm able to remember." I brought my legs up to my chest and hugged my knees. "What did he do?"
Laurence suddenly hugged me. Very tightly, but I didn't mind. "He drugged you, (Y/n). I found you guys in a room-"
I cut him off. "Holy shit did he...?" My nails were clawing into my skin.
Laurence hugged me tighter. "No. No, he didn't rape you. I'm glad I got there when I did because the way it looked like it was going, it probably would've gotten to that."
"Was I naked?" I felt incredibly uncomfortable.
He shook his head. "No, he had taken off your shirt. But that's it. He hadn't gone any further than that."
"He took my first kiss, though. I mean, yeah that should be the last of my worries. I was almost raped. But I always hoped that my first kiss would be something special. With someone special."
Laurence frowned. "I'm sorry that happened to you, (Y/n). I'm sorry I wasn't there to prevent it."
"Laurence. It's not your fault. It wasn't like it was your job to make sure that nothing happened to me." I said, trying to reassure him.
After a few minutes of silence, I spoke up again. "What happened to Gene?"
Laurence grinned a little and shrugged. "Knocked him out."
I laugh quietly. "I didn't know you were strong."
Laurence smiled. "For your information, I am very strong."
"Right." I grin. "So am I, so when we go back to school, Gene's gonna know what it feels like to get hit by a girl."
Laurence raises his left eyebrow in confusion, looking at your arms. "You're strong?"
"Do you wanna find out?"
Laurence grinned. "I'll find out at school."
"Yes you will." I smile. "Anyway, how was the rest of the party?"
Laurence shook his head. "I didn't go back when I brought you home."
"Oh. Why?"
He shrugged. "Really, the only reason I went was because I wanted to spend some time with you."
His face was as red as the huge F's in marker that my teacher put's on my math worksheets. I smile. "If that was the case, we could've hung out somewhere else. That party was awful. I honestly didn't like being around so many people at once."
"You're around even more people at school." Laurence stated.
"Yeah, but the school building is alot bigger. There's enough space for everyone to be at least two feet away from each orher. At that party, everyone was touching everyone. It was hot and sweaty and I hated it."
Laurence sighs. "If we hadn't gone to the party, that wouldn't have happened to you."
I get on my knees and face him so that he would look at me. As we made eye confact, my face grew very pink. His baby blue eyes were the definition of beautiful. "Laurence, you know It's not your fault."
Laurence reached out his hand, and cupped my face. My face heated up.
Slowly, our faces were becoming closer. I hadn't realized it until I had closed my eyes and my lips met his.
Fireworks. That's what it felt like. The sensation of his lips meeting mine felt like fireworks. It was amazing.
I slowly pulled away and looked down. My hand was now intertwined with Laurence's free hand.
I looked back up at him, he was grinning.
Me, being the very shy and very confused person that I am, stood up. "Holy shit. What was that?"
Laurence stood up and looked at me. "Uh, a kiss. I-I'm sorry if that was so suddon and unexpected- it just kinda happened. I didn't mean to- uh. I'm sorry."
"No, don't apologize. I, uh, enjoyed it actually." I looked down.
Laurence smiled and took my hand again.
Then, my door opened, revealing my dad.
He had ruined the moment.
He grinned when he saw Laurence. "Hey, Laurence! It's nice to see you again. I was about to ask (Y/n) if she wanted to go out and eat lunch. Or, my breakfast. Probably her lunch. Would you like to come with us?"
Laurence hesitantly let go of my hand. He smiled at my dad. "Sure. I'd love to."
A/N!
It finally happened. The moment you've all been waiting for. It took 15 chapters oof. But I mean, would you rather wait 15 chapters or read an unrealistic book that starts the love & stuff on the first chapter. Because personally, I hate those. Anyway, I'm currently in spanish class. So I'd better get back to doing my work lol. Thank you guys for reading! I'll see you soon!
Bye~
