Laurance's Secret Admirer

(Y/N)'s POV

"I'll get it!" I yelled out as the doorbell rang.

I opened the door to reveal the pizza guy. "A large (favorite topping) pizza for Bob (L/N)?"

"Yes! How much is it gonna be?" My dad appeared behind me.

"It'll be $10.99, sir!" The pizza guy handed me the pizza, and my dad handed the guy the money.

"Thank you! Have a nice day!" Said the pizza man.

"You too!" I said and closed the door with my foot.

"Hey, Laurance! I hope you like (favorite topping) pizza!" My dad said as I set down the pizza box on the table.

"Yeah, I like any type of pizza." Laurance shrugged.

I went over to the fridge. "Guys, do you want a poopsie?"

They both nodded. I grabbed three and gave Laurance and my dad their soda's.

"So, how's your project going?" My dad asked.

"We finished it." I grinned.

"Oh, so Laurance won't be coming over anymore?"

Laurance frowned. "Well, I still can. We can still hang out. We are friends, after all."

Dad smiled at that. "(Y/N), I thought you said you didn't have any friends?"

"People change."

My dad laughed at that. "Right. Any other friends I should know about?"

"Well." My mouth was stuffed with pizza. "Laurance introduced me to his group of friends earlier. But I wouldn't exactly call them my friends yet. But there's this freshman girl, Aphmau, I'd say were friends. She invited me to her sleepover, after all. And I think me and Katelyn are friends? I'm not sure."

"I don't know why you didn't have any friends before." Said Laurance. "You're amazing."

I smiled a little. "I'm anti-social and I don't like people."

"You like me and Aphmau and Katelyn and a few other people." Laurance smirked.

"That was a run-on sentence, mister." I grinned.

"You're not my english teacher."

"Doesn't matter. Anyone can correct your english."

Laurance stared at me for a few seconds, then laughed. "Okay." He shook his head and finished his first slice of pizza.

About ten minutes later, Laurance's phone went off. He looked at the screen and answered it. "Hey, Hayden..... Yeah, I'm at (Y/N)'s house.......soccer practice went well.... Oh, okay... Yeah. I'll be home soon." He hung up the call and looked at my dad and I. "I'm sorry, my dad wants me home. It's getting pretty late and I have chores to do. Thank you for the dinner, Mr. (L/N). I'll see you tomorrow, (Y/N)."

"See you tomorrow." I said.

My dad told him to have a good night and with that, Laurance went out the door.

My dad looked over at me and smiled. "I'm happy you've become more social this year, (Y/N)."

"Well, I didn't do anything." I shrugged. "All these 'friendships' just kinda happened. It's weird."

"It's great." My dad smiled again and stood up to put his plate in the sink. He looked at the almost empty pizza box. "You gonna eat that or do I put it in the fridge?"

"Put it in the fridge." I say as I grab one more slice from the box to take to my room. "I'm gonna go watch (favorite show), then crash."

Dad closed the box and put it in the fridge. "Okay, I think I'm gonna go crash too. My off days are over so I gotta wake up early tomorrow."

"Yeah." I frowned a little but quickly stopped so he wouldn't see.

"Goodnight." He kissed my forhead and headed in the direction of his room.

"Night, dad." I stood up and put my plate in the sink.

I headed upstairs into my room and turned on my laptop, soon falling asleep.

It was the next day. I had woken up pretty late so I probably looked like a mess.

I was on my way to Laurance's friend group, when I noticed a girl with brown hair and glasses peeking over the corner of the cafeteria. She was stalking someone. I follow her gaze and was surprised it landed on Laurance.

I walked up to her, but she hadn't noticed me 'til I spoke. "Hey."

She jumped and looked over at me. "O-oh! Hi!"

I chuckled nervously. "I'm (Y/N)."

"My names Kim! It's nice to meet you!"

"So, uh. I couldn't help but notice you were watching my friend over there." She looked shocked at this. "You one of the Laurance fangirls? Because you don't seem like one. You're not all over him like the rest."

"No." She blushed. "I don't associate with those girl's. And I give him his personal space. I've actually never talked to him."

"So you have a genuine thing for him?"

"I mean, I've never talked to him." She looked down and frowned.

"Well, you don't seem crazy." I smiled, remembering mine and Laurance's conversation about relationships and what not. "If I introduce you to Laurance, will you act normal? And try to get to know him? Who knows, maybe the two of you will end up together."

Kim's face lit up. "Oh, yes! That'd be an amazing opportunity!"

I smiled. "Okay, come on. I'll introduce you to everyone."

Kim followed behind me as we walked up to the table. When we arrived, everyone looked at me, then behind me.

"Oh, hey (Y/N). Who's your new friend?" Asked Garroth.

"Guys, this is Kim. I met her a little while ago and decided to invite her over. Is that okay?"

"Yeah, its totally fine." Laurance smiled and looked at Kim. "Hi, Kim. I'm Laurance, it's nice to meet you."

Kim's face was a bright red, but she didn't sqeal or anything.

"I-it's nice to meet you too! It's nice to meet all of you." She looked at everyone else. "I'm a little shy, so I'm sorry if I come off as awkward!"

"It's okay, I'm Aphmau!" Aphmau greeted her.

Everyone else introduced themselves. Kim sat next to Laurance, and I sat next to her.

The rest of lunch, everyone was getting to know Kim. I honestly felt a little left out, but it was fine. I mean, I'm doing this for Laurance. He's done alot for me with my social life, so it's the least I could do. Kim would suit him better than Aphmau, anyway. Plus, it'd get him out of a love triangle. That is, if this works. We'll see.

I'm super sorry for not updating this in a while! I'm leaving the country early for christmas so I need to take all of my finals early and do extra work and it's been pretty busy. I've also been obsessed with Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp! And its been taking up alot of my time. But I'll try to update as soon as possble! I'm actually really happy with how this book has been going! I'm almost at 100 reads! That's the most I've ever gotten in a book that's been out for a little amount of time! Thank you guys so much!!

QOTC: Do you guys like Kim's character in mystreet?

AOTC: Tbh, I don't. I did in the beginning! But ever since starlight and the emerald secret i dislike her. She was supposed to be Laurance's love interest when she first arrived. But I think she's going to end up with Garroth, now. And besides the whole ghost thing, her character is kinda shitty. And I have a similar opinion on Blaze. I love him but it seems like he's replaced Laurance. Because it used to be Garroth and Laurance. Now it's all about Garroth and Blaze. Which sucks.
